Cloudy Crafting

It’s spring in Melbourne and don’t we know it! The other day we had the hottest October day in 50 years (34) and the very next day we had a day when we lit our open fire (14) – gotta love variety right?!

Today its overcast and cloudy so a really good day to stay inside and get my craft on.

First up is a card for 3 challenges:

I played along with a stamp set from the October Simon Says Stamp kit ‘Thankful Flowers’ which I heat embossed and then roughly water coloured. I cut it on an angle and mounted it on black and white DSP and then a copper card stock onto a black card base.

This next card is for another 3 challenges:

For this card I used 2 stamp sets, 1 from Unity Stamps ‘Trust the timing’ and the other from Simon Says Stamp ‘If the hat fits’. I kept most of the card black and white except for the hat that I coloured with my Stampin Blends in a few shades of pink.

Must be a day for 3s as this next card is for another 3 challenges:

I keep all the Christmas cards that I receive, so decided to go with the ‘U for upcycle’ option and I reused a cute little tag that had food and drink images on it. I decided to use the tag on a card front with some glittery paper and some gingerbread cookie card stock, twine and a sentiment.

Well, that’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

  1. Oh how confusing, I’m wearing two hats at once for two different cards! Maybe I should just say they are ALL fab, especially since the first one is my absolute favourite and I’m not here to comment on that. But that pop of pink on your retro style black and white witch card is brilliant, and the sentiment perfect, so thank you for sharing at SOSS, and your little gingerbread people look scrummy – that gingerbread background looks really great. Thanks for sharing that one at Cardz 4 Guyz

  7. I love the angled look to your card and the layers framing the focal panel is beautiful. The shine of the embossing and metallic paper adds great interest to your card. Thanks for joining us at Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge.
