Chilly day to craft

Hello. Hope you’re keeping safe and sane. It’s a chilly, grey day here in Melbourne, so I’m playing in my craft room with some challenges.

First up is a card for:

I was inspired by a TV series I loved growing up called ‘Skippy‘ and I used a digital image which I coloured with my Stampin Blends. I added a bit of a stencil for the background to ground my roos and my card was done!

Next is a card for:

I loved the idea of creating splats so, used my Stampin Up reinkers, some water and a paintbrush to create my splat across the centre of my card. I then die cut my sentiment 4 times in white, Marina Mist and Pool Party cardstock to create some shadows and height.

Next is a card for:

For my card I went with stencils and patterned paper. I used a stencil from Studio Katia ‘Birthday Balloons duo’, some text paper from Stampin Up, Distress inks and a sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays ‘Shenanigans’.

I would never have thought to use a patterned paper behind my stenciling and am so glad I tried it as I love this look!

Next up is a card for:

I went with the drink theme and used a stamp set by PTI called ‘Uncorked’. I heat embossed the sentiment 3 times across my black border which is overlaid on a very subtle embossed panel at the bottom. I stamped 2 bottles, cut them out and laid them over the sentiment and my card was done.

Hopefully this card and the wine that goes with it will fix the fact that I was late with birthday wishes!

Lastly is a card for:

I decided to use a unicorn silhouette from Visible Images ‘Believe in unicorns’ and a sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays ‘Be a unicorn’ for my card. I did a bit of ink smooshing for the background before stamping the unicorn and sentiment.

Well that’s it for today. I’m off to do some cooking now. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend.

  1. What a beautiful array of cards! I totally love your card with the wine bottles. The bottles look tiny and cute (or are they supposed to be supposed to be chocolates??) and I love how you’ve added the sentiment on the strip which also supposed this focus so well! Wonderful design! Thank you for joining us on the Seize the Birthday challenge!
