Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Karen is our host with feminine anything goes challenge this week!

I created an alcohol ink background, which is sort of a shimmery coral colour. I then die cut a floral frame from back cardstock and layered them together onto a black card base. i added the sentiment from Taylored Expressions ‘Simple strip background’ and the card was done!

I have used an image from Drawn by Krista called ‘Sea Creatures’ that comes with 4 images; a shark, octupus, seahorse and fish. I decided to use the shark only and coloured him in with my Stampin Blends, cut him out with my Scan’n’Cut and popped him on top of a distress inked background. The sentiment I made on my PC – I recommend you read it as if you’re listening to the movie Jaws!

Hello there, it’s Sunday here in Melbourne and that means I’m in my craft room while the rest of the house is sleeping in! I love the quiet time to be able to create and get myself ready for the week ahead.

My first card is for the current Freshly Made Sketches #399 challenge.

When I saw this sketch, I knew exactly the stamp set i wanted to use – Your Next Stamp’s ‘Photo Booth’. I die cut some squares from my frint panel and stamped 3 of the images on the background card, then coloured them with my Stampin Blends, added the sentiment to the top panel and mu9nted it with foam tape.

Next up is a card for TGIF Challenges #223, which is a beautiful colour challenge.

I used a stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays called ‘Be a Unicorn’ which lends itself beautifully to this colour combination. I stamped the unicron and then ink smooshed the colours over her, added the sentiment, a bit of gold ink to the horn, then mounted the panel on a white card base and the card was done.

Well, seems like the rest of the house is waking up so time to pack up my crafty goodies.

Well hello and welcome to today’s post. For the month of August I am a Guest Designer over at Just Us Girls. I’m so excited as I love their challenges and can’t wait for you to see what I and the other DTs will be creating over the next 5 weeks!

So, let’s get started with this week’s challenge, which is a word challenge – SUMMER!

Now, I wasn’t feeling very summery as we’re in the middle of winter here and everything is grey and cold, but my favourite thing about summer is being able to wear my thongs (or as they’re called in the US flip flops) and walk along the beach.

I stamped the thongs from the Simon Says Stamp set called ‘Flip Flop Season’, coloured them in with my SU Granny Apple Green Stampin Blend and fussy cut them out. I then added some beach with some sand I had in my stash and a sentiment from ‘By the Seaside’ which came with a craft magazine.
