Shaker, Shaker

Today I’m playing with a couple of challenges and creating a shaker card for a male:

I used some circle dies in various sizes to die cut my front panel in line with the GDP sketch. I stamped a few of the images from the Uniquely Creative ‘You’re Weird’ stamp set on the card base in the circle gaps. I coloured them with my Stampin Blends and then popped up the top die cut layer and filled the circles with some sequins to simulate the water.

I just love how this card came out and think those platypus are adorable. Thanks for stopping by and checking this card out. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Fusion: Relaxed Living

Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I loved the sketch (which I flipped vertically) and then was inspired by the colours in the photo. I used a stamp set from Uniquely Creative ‘Spring Bouquet’ which I coloured with my Stampin Blends and fussy cut. I added the flower and sentiment to my white embossed banner on top of a blue gingham DSP.

This ended up being such a sweet card.

Come join in the fun and make a card based on the sketch, inspiration photo or both! WWC #277 – Tristan’s Challenge: All About Occasions Challenge

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and I’m the host this week with an all about occasions challenge.

I decided not to make a card this week, but I needed a little container to hold a gift for a friend, so made a little pie slice gift box. I used a gorgeous new card stock from Stampin Up – Magenta madness for my box base. I then used the Good Morning Magnolia dies to make the flower on top. I added some white and Magenta madness ribbon to hold it closed (after I put the gift in!) and I was done.

Come join in the fun and make a card/project for an occasion of your choosing. Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Tuesday, 30th June at 9:00 Melbourne Time or Monday 29th June 5pm US Mountain Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Monday Mindfulness

Today I decided to do a bit of crafting before work and during my lunch break to make sure I switch off from the many Zoom meetings that I have to attend.

First up is a card for:

I used a floral embossing folder and decided to colour a few of the flowers with my navy alcohol markers. I stamped a sentiment from the Ton and added some pearls to fill some of the gaps.

I love the look of the navy flowers on the cream vellum.

Next is a card for:

I have a new die that that opens in a hexagon pattern to reveal the centre. I die cut some navy cardstock; then some DSP with the reveal die (this gave me my layers); than added a watercoloured unicorn behind it and a birthday sentiment and my card was done.

Lastly is a card for a new to me challenge – Send a Smile 4 Kids – Cards 4 Teen and Tweens OR Anything Goes 4 Kids.

I created an ink smooshed background using my Kaleidacolor ‘Denim’ ink pad and added a die cut of a mountain climber with a sentiment from Avery Elle ‘Dude’ and Stampin Up ‘Pedal to the Metal’.

I really love how this card turned out.

Well, that’s it for today. Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of your day.

Fancy Fold Card

I’ve been seeing a lot of different types of fancy fold cards on social media these days, and thought I’d give one of them a go. This one is called a 4 window fold card and was a lot easier than I thought!

I’m entering this card over at:

I used a matching stamp set and DSP from Stampin Up called ‘Bird Ballad’ with a sentiment from ‘So Sentimental’.

This is the front of the card.
The inside of the card where you can see the folds better.
A view looking down on the card and its folds.

I love this design and will try a few more in different sizes. Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your weekend.

WWC #276 – Marsha’s Challenge: Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Marsha is our host with a masculine challenge this week!

I’ve been having fun using up scrap bits of cardstock lately and this card is no exception. I went with a green theme for my scraps with a pop of yellow. The sentiment is from a digital Stampin Up set called ‘Share Sunshine’ which has some great ISO sentiments and images.

Come join in the fun and make a masculine card. Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Tuesday, 23rd June at 9:00 Melbourne Time or Monday 22nd June 5pm US Mountain Time to link up your project.

Sunday Funday

I was able to get a bit of crafting in before we had the family celebration for my MIL’s 80th birthday.

First up is a card for Just Add Ink #509 = Colour challenge.

I stamped the main flower from Uniquely Creative ‘Spring bouquet’ and then coloured it with my Stampin Blends.

Next is a card for:

I stamped the Christmas tree from the Altenew ‘Sketched evergreen’ stamp set. I cut a portion of the panel from the left side and then added some gold glitter paper under the edge to make the tree pop. I used Catherine Pooler Design inks in ‘It’s a girl’, ‘Party dress’ and ‘Royal treatment’ for my tree. This is my favourite Christmas tree stamp and is a staple of my Christmas card making each year.

Next is a card for Just us Girls #540.

I stamped the bear holding the sentiment frame from Taylored Expressions ‘ Big Grumpy’ stamp set and coloured him in with my Stampin Blends. I added a bit of DSP to ground him and some sequins for balance at the top.

I love this guy and his grump face.

Lastly is a card for:

I was inspired by the fishing theme of the TCC photo. I used a stamp set from Close to my Heart called ‘Let’s Go Fishing’. I stamped the sentiment across the centre of my card to mimic the banner and the fish is stamped with SU Coastal Cabana and Pretty Peacock ink with gold embossing for the finer details. I fussy cut the fish out and popped him in the centre to match the sketch.

Well, that’s it for now; i’m off for lunch. Thanks for stopping bu, enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Fusion: Butterfly

Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I was inspired by the butterfly photo, the colours and the 3 circles in the sketch for my card. I used a Stampin Up set called ‘Butterfly wishes’ where I stamped 3 of the butterflies for the circles which I used a variety of blue Stampin Up markers and the sentiment is in place of the banner.

Come join in the fun and make a card based on the sketch, inspiration photo or both! Check out the projects that the other artists at Fusion have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 11th June at 5pm Melbourne Time or Tuesday 10th June 12pm US Pacific Time to link up your project.

I decided to create a card using some fabulous new DSP from Stampin Up ‘Forever greenery’. I paired it with some die cut leaves from the SU ‘Forever Fern’ set and a sentiment from SU ‘Milestone Moments’. The DSP panel is popped up with the sentiment in the gap. I added a bit of gold tread to tie the leaves together and my card was done!

Christmas Craft Creations – June – Christmas Trees

Well, this month we have another challenge over at Christmas Craft Creations challenge blog with an optional twist to include Christmas trees.

I have a stamp in my ‘collection’ that I’ve had for years and can’t remember where it’s from but knew it would be perfect for this challenge. I used my distress markers to colour the tree and then lightly spritzed it and stamped it. I then coloured the rest of the stamp with black ink and stamped that without spritzing. I added a bit of sparkle to the baubles and some yellow to the halo of the star, a popped up sentiment and my card was done.

I love the mixed look of messy tree and sharp background.

Come join in our fun and add to your Christmas card stash. Visit the Challenge blog to check out the inspiration the other CCCettes have made. Link up your card by 3am 7th July (Melbourne time) or 6pm 7th July (UK time).

Thanks for looking and have a great day.
