WWC #310 – Marsha’s Challenge: All About Occasions

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Marsha is our host with an occasions challenge this week! We’re making some changes at WWC; we’re moving to fortnighly in order to maintain our high level of excellence and advoid design burnout.

I tried to create a mountain scene using the Stampin Up ‘Waterfront’ stamp set on some watercolour paper. The sentiment is from another Stampin Up set ‘Heal Your Heart’.

I think I need more work on my mirror imaging but not bad for a 1st go.

Come join in the fun and make a card for an occasion of your choosing. Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Tuesday, 9th March at 10:00 Melbourne Time or Monday 8th March 5pm US Mountain Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Christmas Card Sunday

Today I’m playing along with some challenges with Christmas as their theme and a couple of others where it isn’t but I’ve interpreted them that way.

First up is a card for:

I have a stash of pre-coloured and cut out critters and choose a Tim Holtz ‘Crazy Dog’ for this card. I added a felt Santa hat on my dog, stencilled a portion of the background and added a sentiment I created on my computer.

Next up is a card for:

I have recently discovered an amazing digi artist called Rachelle Anne Miller. She’s an Aussie and created this adorable Koala ornament which is 1 of a trio of Christmas Ornaments. What I love about digi images is that you can seperate them, resize them and print them on what ever medium you want. I printed this guy and then coloured him with my AI markers and cut him into a tag shape. I wanted a little something for the background but wanted it to be subtle so used a peice of DSP from Stampin Up called ‘Plush Poinsettia’.

Next is a card for:

I love the idea of using non-traditional colours for a Christmas card. I used a Stampin Up brick wall embossing folder, the loghtly sponged some SU Petal Pink ink an the corner and added a few die cut Christmas trees and a sentiment from the Ton ‘Christmas Strips’.

Lastly is a card for the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #101.

I chose the top horizontal row – cute critter, square amd vellum. Again I went to my pre-coloured critters and chose a cute little piggy and added a felt Santa hat. I embossed the vellun with the Stampin Up ‘Old world paper’ EF, added the piggy and a sentiment I made on my computer and my card was done.

Well, that’s it for today. I’m happy I’ve added 4 more cards to my Christmas card stash. Thanks for stopping by for a look. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Guesting at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

Today I am a guest designer at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers as I was chosen as the winner of their G is for Glitter challenge so I get to guest for #179 Q is for Queen.

I love the SoSS challenge as it allows me to be sassy – I also get to think of specific friends as I make these cards and in this instance I was thinking of my daughter as I tell her all the time that she’s got this shit handled!

Being a CAS card maker I decided to keep my main focus on the sentiment with only small bits of colour in my image. The ‘queen’ is from Technique Jumkies ‘Heads up’ and I created the sentiment on my computer; not sure if you can see it but I’ve gold glittered up her crown.

Come join in the challenge and have some fun with Edna’s theme.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Fusion: Rainbow Dress

Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I love this photo, the little girl is so cute; it inspired me to make a dress with rainbow feathers on it. The dress form is an old SU dress die; I coloured the feathers with my Stampin Blends and added sequins to the bodice. The sentiment is from SSS ‘Believe in You’.

Come join in the fun and make a card based on the sketch, inspiration photo or fuse them together and play with both! Check out the projects that the other artists at Fusion have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 3rd March at 7pm Melbourne Time or Tuesday 2nd March 12pm US Pacific Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

WWC #309 – Dawn’s Challenge: Anythings Goes with a Masculine Twist

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Dawn is our host with a masculine challenge this week!

I used a stamp set that has been sitting in my stash from Altenew called ‘Hug Me’ that I coloured with my new Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend Markers and added to a sponged background with clouds.

Come join in the fun and make a masculine card. Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. Valentine Cards

Well it’s Valentines Day here in Australia and my hubby is away golfing and fishing with a friend! He’s actually been gone for a week and still has 4 days left before he comes home; we’re not big fans of Valentines Day so will have a dinner when he gets home and he’ll get one of these cards.

I ended up making 5 cards yesterday and this morning for 11 challenges!

First up is a card for:

I flipped the sketch to be vertical and then added some pink and red stripes across the centre along with a brown die cut heart and a few little heart sequins. The sentiment is from the Ton ‘Basic Labels’.

Next is a card for The Spot Creative Challenge #149.

Another simple card using strips of pink, red and green cardstock along with a little bit of floral stamping and a popped up die cut heart; the sentiment is from The Ton ‘Basic Labels’.

Next is a card for:

I die cut 4 hearts from shades of red and pink then added a die cut sentiment.

Next is a card for:

I used a new stamp set from Uniquely Creative ‘Love Letters’ that has the most adorable images. I coloured the flying heart and envelope and popped them up over a cloud sponged corner.

Lastly is a card for Shopping Our Stash #438 – Love is in the air.

I used the Uniquely Creative ‘Love Letters’ stamp set again and popped up my coloured bunnies over a full cloud sponged background.

Well, that’s it for today – enjoy the rest of your day and thanks for stopping by for a look.

Christmas Craft Creations – Blue & Silver

Come join in our fun and add to your Christmas card stash. Visit the challenge blog to check out the inspiration the other CCCettes have made. Link up your card by 3am 9th March (Melbourne time) or 6pm (UK time).

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Fusion: Valentine Gnome

Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I was inspired by the gnome in the photo and the neutral colour scheme. I used a female gnome die (think its Simon Says Stamp but didn’t write the company on the back) and placed her over a grey and white floral DSP from Stampin Up where I coloured one flower for balance.

I think she’s adorable and hope the hubby does too when he gets this.

Come join in the fun and make a card based on the sketch, inspiration photo or fuse them together and play with both! Check out the projects that the other artists at Fusion have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 17th February at 7pm Melbourne Time or Tuesday 16th February 12pm US Pacific Time to link up your project.
