Fusion: Critters

Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I loved this photo of the adorable otter smelling the flower and I was also guided loosely by the sketch. My card came together using a new stamp set from Stampin Up ‘Special Someone’ inked up in Crumb Cake and Early Espresso on a sponged circle of Blushing Bride. I added a bit of crystal effects to the balloon to give it that extra bit of shine.

I have a good friend that this card will be getting sent to.

Check out the projects that the other artists at Fusion have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. WWC #255 – Marsha’s Challenge: Anything Goes with a Masculine Twist

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Marsha is our challenge host with an anything goes with a masculine twist this week!

When I was at a craft show with my friend Michelle, I bought a few masculine dies and decided to use this great fishing one on my card. It’s from Libby’s Dies and I cut it from black cardstock and stuck it on an ink smooshed background panel that looks like water and sky with a bit of morning fog. The sentiment is from The Ton.

Come join in the fun and make a masculine themed card. Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. Playing with some challenges

Today I’ve had a chance to play along with some of my favourite challenges.

First up is a card for:

I used a stencil from Studio Light (for STB) that I placed in the bottom left corner (I moved the sketch around a bit). I then sponged Catherine Pooler Design inks in Be Mine, Bellini, Aquatini and Lime Rickey (following the colours in the JAI photo). I got a little bit of overlay between colours but I’m okay with that. The sentiment is from Hero Arts ‘Snarky Mix & Match Messages’.

Next up is a card for:

I created an alcohol ink panel that I stamped the ‘happy’ sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays ‘Shenanigans’ stamp set with Alcohol Lift Ink. I then stamped ‘birthday’ from the Altenew ‘Birthday Greetings’ stamp set.

Well that’s it for today, thanks for stopping by for a look. Enjoy your weekend.
