AAA Cards #319 – Colour Challenge

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

These colours scream flowers to me, so I reached for a new to me set from Stampin Up ‘Boutique Blossoms’ which has matching dies too! I inked to flowers up in Stampin Up Pumpkin Pie, Crisp Cantaloupe, Bubble Bath and Magenta Madness inks; die cut them out and then layered into the bottom corner of my cardbase. The sentiment was in my stash, ut can’t remember where it’s from.

Come join in the fun; we’d love to see how you were inspired. Check out the projects that the other artists at AAA Cards have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Saturday 1st August to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Just Add Ink #790 – Just Add Dies – Stencils or Both

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great theme for you!

I opted to use dies only on my card. This dies is from Altenew ‘Leaf frame cover die’ and I used it with some DSP from Stampin Up ‘New Horizons’. The sentiment is from Unqiely creative. I think the die still allows you to see this beautiful DSP.

AAA Cards #318 – Follow my Lead

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you we’re following the lead of Marlies!

I chose the follow the side aligned elements on Marlies’ card but switched up my card to be vertical. I die cut 3 hearts from gold, brinze and silver cardstock. I drew aline linking them and added a couple of pearls. The sentiment is from Stampin Up ‘Number of Years’.

Guest Designer – Creative Creases #114 – ATG Fancy Fold

Well today I get to play along with Creative Creases as a Guest Designer thanks to this card!

It’s a colour challenge this fortnight and we challenge you to use yellow and purple on your card.

I made a cylinder style card for my fancy fold. It’s super easy to make – you just need 2 pieces of card stock 11cm x 14cm scored at 2cm, 7cm and 12cm. You then join the skinny edges together and then decorate each panel with the DSP of your choosing (I used Stampin Up Painterly Pears). I added a sentiment panel to the centre of the fron 6.5cm x 7.5cm secured with a couple of folded scraps aligned to the centre score line.

Come join in the fun and make a fancy fold card. Link your creation up here.

Thanks for stopping by for a look, enjoy the rest of your day.

Just Add Ink #789 – Just Add a Sketch

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you -am I allowed to say that when it’s my sketch?

I thought the sketch lent itself to strips of DSP, so I cut apart some DSP from Paper Rose ‘Fine Print’ and layered it behind this grumpy cat from Katzelkraft with a sentiment frm Uniquely Creative.

AAA Birthday #87 – For Girls

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!

I’ve seen this technique all over blogland and knew I had the perfect DSP to give it a go. I used the ‘Splendid Autumn’ DSP from Stampin Up, cut into 1/2 inch pieces. I popped up every second one with dimnsionals over a Highland Heather (SU) cardstock. The sentiment is from ‘Limited Edition’ (SU) stamp set inside a vellum die cut.

How cool does this technique look?
