Just Add Ink #642 – Sketch

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great theme for you!

I love a good sketch and this one really got my creative juices flowing. I decided to make a masculine card and left the sentiment off as I felt it would compromise the overall design. I use a digital hipster image and coloured him with my Stampin Blends. I fussy cut some sunglasses to give him a bit more sass and then popped him up over some layered squares and striped DSP.

Just Add Ink #636 – Blog Hop – Just Add Your Favourite

Hello there, it’s a new year and that means it’s time for a blog hop at Just Add Ink and do we have a great theme for you – Just Add Your Favourite! What does that mean? It could be your favourite colours, stamps, dies, technique or style – the sky’s your limit!

I used a couple of my favourites – alcohol inks, rainbows and heat embossing!

I created a rainbow background using my AIs, then gold heat embossed my sentiment from Stampin Up ‘Slim Sayings’ on a die cut vellum panel.

Just Add Ink #635 – Inspiration Photo

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great theme for you!

I was inspired by the colours in the photo and the hanging ball chains. I decided to make a fancy fold card called a Mirror Fold, following a tutorial from The Artful Inker. I used all Stampin Up products for my card. The card base was Shaded Spruce, the DSP was Lights Aglow and the stamp sets were Whimsical Trees and Watercolour Christmas. I added a belly band to hold the card together when being posted and a bit of gold thread for that extra bit of sparkle.

The front of the card all closed up!
The card opened up – you can see the pretty DSP and stamping.

Just Add Ink #633 – Colour Combo

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great colour combo for you!

How cute is this combo? I used the Sweet Sorbet as my main colour with my cardbase and stamping of the SU En Francais and light sponging. I then added small slithers of the Basic Grey and Bermuda Bay under the font panel. To create a bit of pop, I stamped and fussy cut out the main flower from the SSS “Beautiful Flowers’ stamp set and kept it black and white.

Just Add Ink #623 – Just Add Colour Combo

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great colour combo for you!

I often struggle with colour combos and decided to go with some sponging on a white panel which I then cut with a floral cover die from Paper Roses and added a sentiment from Uniquely Creative.

Love how simple this was to make, yet how pretty it came out!

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

For my card, I used an old Stampin Up die set ‘Painted Poppies’ and a sentiment from Uniquely Creative. The cardstock is all Stampin Up in Old Olive, Pear Pizzaz, Crumb Cake and Basic White.

Just Add Ink #617 – Just Choose Two – Gingham/Dots/Diecuts

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great theme for you!

I chose Dots and Diecuts for my card. I stamped two of the Catherine Pooler Dsigns ‘Cottage Garden background stamp’. I then coloured one of the backgrounds and diecut a number of different sized circles from that panel. I added those diecut circles over the uncoloured background to give my card a spotlight effect.

I love how this card came out ans will make more in this style.

Just Add Ink #615 – Just Add Inspiration

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great theme for you!

I was inspired by the colours, the pebble, the wood elements and the plants for my card. I used a stamp and dei set from the My Monthly Hero Kit January 2022.

See how I made the pebble stepping stones look like the wooden plank pathway?

Just Add Ink #586 – Summer Blog Hop

Hello there, it’s time for the first Just Add Ink Challenge for 2022 and we have a great inspiration photo and Blog Hop with ALL the JAI design team for you!

I loved all the bright rainbow colours of those icy poles, so created a background with lots of thin strips of cardstock arranged in rainbow order. I then used a circle die and added a silhouette image and a sentiment from Altenew ‘Spectacular Adventures’.

Doesn’t Summer just make you want to jump for joy?

We’d love you to come join in the fun and hop along with the Design team.
