AAA Cards #236 – Inspired by a Movie/Song/Book

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

My card was inspired by the movie ‘Gone with the Wind’ and I used an awesome stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays ‘Frankly’ (retired) that has a great combination of sentiments. The flowers are from Stampin Up ‘Delicate Dahlias’ inked up in Altenew deep iris, lavender fields, soft lilac, puffy heart, rose quartz, blush and wisteria.

Come join in the fun; we’d love to see how you were inspired. Check out the projects that the other artists at AAA Cards have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Saturday, 1st April to link up your project.

These colours inspired me to make a Halloween card. I used the cat and sentiment from Close to my heart ‘Art Philosophy’ and the background stripes form Stampin Up ‘Brushstrokes’.

Sketch Saturday #721 – Opt twist use an embossing folder

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

For my card I used an embossing folder by Cuttlebug ‘Filigree’ for my background. I then decided to use some white satin ribbon for the verticle stripe in the sketch and the bow became one of the squares. The other square I used for my sentiment.

AAA Cards #235 – Along the Edge opt Ink Blending

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

I went with the optional twist for my card, ink blending Altenew inks in purple wine, puffy heart, rose quartz and blush. I then lifted some of the ink through the Tim Holtz Scribbles stencil. The sentiment is from Uniquely Creative.

Just Add Ink #642 – Sketch

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great theme for you!

I love a good sketch and this one really got my creative juices flowing. I decided to make a masculine card and left the sentiment off as I felt it would compromise the overall design. I use a digital hipster image and coloured him with my Stampin Blends. I fussy cut some sunglasses to give him a bit more sass and then popped him up over some layered squares and striped DSP.

AAA Birthday #47 – Stripes and/or Dots

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!

This was a perfect challenge for me to use up some of my DSP scraps (dots and stripes – zig zags are stripes too aren’t they?) using my 1″ circle punch! I created the sentiment on my PC and die cut the circle panel for a bit of interest along the edges.
