Fusion: Blue Butterflies

Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I was inspired by the butterflies and colours in the photo this challenge. I stamped the large butterfly from the Ton, heat embossed in gold and then water coloured with my Altenew water colour pans. I wanted the butterfly to be the hero , so I left the sentiment off, fussy cut it out and added it to a acetate card base.

Come join in the fun and make a card based on the sketch, inspiration photo or fuse them together and play with both! Check out the projects that the other artists at Fusion have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 12th May at 5pm Melbourne Time or Tuesday 11th May 12pm US Pacific Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Just Add Ink #601 – Sketch

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great challenge for you. This week we have a sketch!

I love a sketch challenge as you can interpret it how you like and use what ever colours and images you want.

I decided to do a see through card with a rainbow sponged background using Stampin Up inks is Magenta Madness, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Tempting Turquoise. I then used 3 different sized circle dies for my centre panel and ring. For my sentiment I used a hello word die.

Super happy with how this card turned out.

Come join in the fun; we’d love to see how you were inspired. AAA Cards #213 – Small and Few opt Easter/Spring

Hello there, it’s time for another AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

I love bunnies (we have 2 as pets) and decided to stamp one of the bunnies from Picket Fences ‘Peach and Piper’ 3 times (with a bit of masking). I coloured them with my Stampin Blends and added a sentiment from my PC.

Fusion: Tulips

Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I decided to fuse the sketch and photo for my card. I found a sweet digital stamp from Star JamLines that had a bunny holding some tulips (not sure if you can see in the photo but there is a bunny pushing a wheelbarrow with tulips in it). I printed and coloured the image with my Stampin Blends. I die cut with an oval die and added to a card base with a bit of black and white striped DSP.

Come join in the fun and make a card based on the sketch, inspiration photo or fuse them together and play with both! Check out the projects that the other artists at Fusion have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. Just Add Ink #599 – Favourite Animal

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great challenge for you!

One of my favourite animals is a dog. I’d love to have one; but as I’ve already got a cat, two bunnies and some fish, I don’t think I have time or space to add a dog at this stage. I used the super cute ‘Pampered Pets’ from Stamping up for my card. I coloured the dog with my Stampin Blends, used the dies to make his kennel and bowl and then I sponged a sky and some grass on the card base.

Come join in the fun; we’d love to see how you were inspired. Check out the projects that the other artists at Just Add Ink have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 20th April at 7pm (AEST) Australian Eastern Standard Time to link up your project.

Challenge Playing

I’ve had a few hours to myself this morning and was able to get crafty and play with a few of my favourite challenges.

First up is a card for:

I created an alcohol ink backgound using my Couture Creations neon AIs and I added some silver foil to the panel while some of the AI was still tacky. I then added a sentiment from Uniquely Creative and my card was done!

Next is a card for:

I used a snow flake die from silver glitter paper over a blue panel with a sentiment from Uniquely Creative onto a white cardbase.

Lastly I made a card for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #207 – A is for ATC.

I’ve never made an ATC so was guided by the awesome projects from the DT. I die cut a black base, then stamped the woman from Deep Red ‘Gibson Girl’. I distressed this panel with my scissors and added a popped up sentiment from Unity Stamp Co ‘PMS Peggy’. It was looking a little bit plain, so I added some twine and thread to the top left corner.

AAA Cards #212 – Along the edge + your country

Hello there, it’s time for another AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

There are so many Australia icons that I could have included on my card – Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, a kangaroo, a koala but I decided to go with a platypus as I had the perfect sentiment from Uniquely Creative ‘My Platypus’ that I knew my hubby would appreciate!

If you’re not familar with a platypus, is a unique, venomous, semi-aquatic mammal that lays eggs and uses electroreception to find its prey. It has a duck bill and flat webbed feet. It’s one of Australia’s most unusual and unique animals – it’s the state animal of New South Wales and proudly represented Australia in the 2000 Olympics…. as a mascot!

How cute is this little guy?

Come join in the fun; we’d love to see how you were inspired. Check out the projects that the other artists at AAA Cards have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Saturday, 16th April to link up your project.
