Sunday Makes

I made these 4 cards on Sunday for 6 challenges.

First up is a card for:

I fussy cut a Santa from some old Stampin Up DSP I had and popped him up over some tiny snow like squins to look like the stripes in the sketch and added a sentiment from The Ton.

Next is a card for Festive Friday #92.

I chose dove, white and leaves on a square card. The dove and leaves are die cuts from Stampin Up ‘Dove of Hope’.

I’ve made tree ornaments with this dove before.

Next is a card for:

I use a watercoloured parrot from my stash which I popped up on my card and added a sentiment from Altenew. I love parrots as they have such beautiful colours.

Now, I don’t have the actual word kindness on my card but I feel that telling someone that they are beautiful is being kind (probably a stretch of the theme but I’m ok with that)

Lastly is a card for Cardz4Galz #154 – National dog day.

I stamped one of the Tim Holtz dogs and coloured her with my Stamp Blends. I gave her a party hat and a sentiment from Uniquely Creative.

I have a friend who loves Schnauzer’s so this will be going to her for her birthday next month.

Well, that’s all I made on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by for a look. Enjoy your week.

Craft Roulette #77

Today I played along with the Craft Roulette #77 episode featuring Kelly Latevola Taylor.

The wheel spun:

  • Project -> Card with a tag
  • Colours -> Red, Yellow, Vioet
  • Element -> Starts with a ‘B’
  • Random -> Ombre

I went to my Distress Oxide inks in Mustard Seed, Candied Apple and Wilted Violet; which I sponged in an ombre pattern (with a bit of water splatter). I then added the black die cut blooms with a greeting tag and my card was done.

I was a bit nervous with this colour combnation but I really like how the blending worked out.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your day.

Fusion: Nautical Bear

Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I played along with the sketch and the colours in the inspirational photo. I used a few blue cardstock scraps from Stampin up, a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp ‘Big Birthday Wishes’ and a die cut from Stampin Up ‘Artistically Inked’.

Come join in the fun and make a card based on the sketch, inspiration photo or fuse them together and play with both! Check out the projects that the other artists at Fusion have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 16th September at 7pm Melbourne Time or Tuesday 15th September 12pm US Pacific Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.
