Well hello and welcome to today’s post. It’s time for another challenge over at Get Creative Challenges where its Anything Goes with an optional twist to make a shaped card.
I chose a digital image from Just Me called ‘Christmas Elves’ which I coloured with my Stampin Blends. I die cut a scalloped oval for my card base and realised it didn’t stand on it’s own so cut a little bit off the bottom.
Isn’t it a cute image?
Check out the Get Creative Challenge blog for details on the sponsor prizes and links to the other fabulous projects from the DT and come join in our fun and share your anything goes project by 2pm Monday 1st November (Melbourne time) or 11pm Sunday 31st October (US Eastern Standard time)
Well daylight savings has started – yay – so I can pretend that I slept in today! Nah, I love daylight savings, I enjoy getting home from work and it’s still light and I can sit outside and enjoy the smell of the jasmine on the fence.
Miss K is away camping with a friend so I can craft without feeling guilty about not spending time with her!
I made a card for a guy with a stenciled background in SU grey granite, a digital SU motorcross image and a sentiment from Stampers Anonymous ‘Handwritten Thoughts’ that seemed fitting.
I was inspired by the blue and white striped jug and flowers. I used an old SU stripe background stamp inked up in CP Juniper Mist and the flower is from Altenew ‘Wallpaper Art’ coloured with my Stampin Blends.
My card today is for the Time Out Challenges # 145 – Breast Cancer Awareness. One of my really close friends was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago. She had the surgery then radiation and chemotherapy. So far 1.5 years on and she’s still clear. She is an inspiration how she’s tackled this disease and her joy for life and positivity is what we all should aspire to.
I used a sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays called ‘Supercalifragilistic’, some alcohol inks and a bit of Nuvo flakes.

I CASEd a card by my good friend Michelle but changed up the stencil, the colour, the sentiment and the positioning of my little bird. I used the MFT “Tweet friends’ stamp set and a digital sentiment from The Ton ‘Birthday Strips’.
For this card I made an ink smooshed background panel with my Kaleidacolor ink in ‘Desert Heat’ which I then die cut with a Catherine Pooler Designs ‘Stained glass coverplate’ die and a sentiment from The Ton digital ‘Birthday Strips’.
Well that’s it for today, thanks for looking and have a great day.
Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Kath is our host with an All About Occasions challenge this week!
For my card, I created an water coloured ink blended panel using my Kaleidacolor ‘melon melody’ ink pad and then used a floral die. I laid the die over a black card panel, then white card panel then onto an orange card. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.

This weekend I didn’t get many cards made but I had lots of fun crafting with my friend Michelle from Seashell Creates. We try t0 catch up once a month and this time I went down to her place and used all her stamps.
Here’s some of the pieces I made, that I’ll have to colour and cut out but I’ll have lots of goodies ready for card making next weekend.

Today I’m playing with the current CAS Mix Up Challenge which is all about creating with ‘inchies’.
I must admit I haven’t played much with this style of crafting but found it to be a fab idea and you can create many varied looks. For my card a created an ink smooshed background with my Kaleidacolour ink pad ‘Melon Melody’ which I then stamped a poppy image and die cut a film strip frame to create the ‘inchies’. I popped up the frame to create dimension and added the sentiment and my card was done.
Next is my card for the current Flower Challenge #36 which is an anything goes theme.
I created another ink smooshed background with my Kaleidacolor ink pad ‘Desert heat’ and then stamped my floral image across the bottom left corner. I added some black and white twine and a few Nuvo droplets and mounted it all on a white card base.
Well, that’s it for today – short and sharp! Thanks for looking and have a great day.

I created a background panel with my Kaleidacolor ‘denim’ ink pad – I smooshed it onto my craft mat and added water before applying my cardstock. I then used an old digital sentiment from Stampin Up and a few sequins and my card was done.
