International Women’s Day Crafting

We happen to have a long weekend for Labour Day coinciding with International Women’s Day, so I had some extra time to craft as there is no netball this weekend.

First up is a card for Seize the Birthday #184 – sentiment as focal image.

I made an AI background with some pinks, purples and a blue then added a die cut sentiment from Kaisercraft.

Next is a card for the Global Design Project #230.

This card was quick to create. I die cut a floral image and mounted it behind a circle and added a sentiment from the Ton and my card was done!

Next up is a card for Freshly Made Sketches #425.

I used the Stampin Up ‘Poppy Moments’ dies with some felt and a sentiment from the Ton. The felt is very delicate so I used some double sided tape before I cut it.

Next is a card for Just Add Ink #495 – Just add a rainbow.

I used the Flowering Foils DSP from Stampin Up and sponged a rainbow of Altenew colours over it. I then added a die cut silver foil shape and sentiment from MFT ‘Birthday Greetings’ was silver heat embossed onto black card stock for that pop and the card was done.

Lastly is a card for the Alphabet Challenge – X for x-tra embellishment.

I kept this card fairly muted and used Stampin up Sahara Sand and Pink Pirouette papers, inks and ribbon. I embossed a card panel and then lightly sponged the raised images for depth. I punched a variety of flowers and added them randomly over the sentiment panel with some pearls for their centers and a bit of ribbon to ground these elements and I was done.

Well that’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by for a look and I really appreciate any comments you leave me. Have a great day.

Hey there! I’m a card-making enthusiast with a passion for creativity that knows no bounds. Currently, I’m fortunate to be a part of four fantastic international card design teams, where I get to explore my craft and connect with fellow artists from all corners of the globe. It’s amazing how the world of card making can bring people together, and I’m constantly inspired by the diversity of styles and ideas that come my way. Beyond my card-making adventures, I lead a pretty busy life in the learning and development field, where I work full time as a Learning Lead. I thrive on helping others grow and reach their full potential, and it’s a role that keeps me on my toes and constantly learning. When I’m not immersed in the world of work or crafting, you can find me on the netball court, coaching and sharing my love for the game with a bunch of amazing individuals. So, whether I’m crafting, guiding professional development, or coaching on the court, I’m all about embracing lifes colorful and creative possibilities! Thanks for stopping by my corner of the web, and I hope you enjoy exploring my card creations and more.
