Monday Merriment

I’ve been doing a bit of card making during my work breaks today to try and get my work creativity going – with the continued lockdown here in Melbourne I’ve been feeling a bit blocked when I need to think creatively for work – I was able to make 3 cards for 4 challenges.

Frst up is for CASE this Sketch #390 and Just Us Girls #554.

I used 3 strips of card stock matching the JUGS colour scheme and then the flower and sentiment from the Stampin Up ‘Beautifully Braided’ stamp set.

Next is a card for Christmas Card Throwdown #35.

I created a slimline card with a die and added a trio of cute little penguins and a sentiment from the Ton.

Lastly is a card for The Flower Challenge #48.

I made the flowers usig the Stampin Up ‘Painted Poppies’ dies and added some colour to the centres with my Stampin Blends. The sentiment is from the Ton.

Well, that’s it for today – I think I’ve got my work creative brain sorted. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Hey there! I’m a card-making enthusiast with a passion for creativity that knows no bounds. Currently, I’m fortunate to be a part of four fantastic international card design teams, where I get to explore my craft and connect with fellow artists from all corners of the globe. It’s amazing how the world of card making can bring people together, and I’m constantly inspired by the diversity of styles and ideas that come my way. Beyond my card-making adventures, I lead a pretty busy life in the learning and development field, where I work full time as a Learning Lead. I thrive on helping others grow and reach their full potential, and it’s a role that keeps me on my toes and constantly learning. When I’m not immersed in the world of work or crafting, you can find me on the netball court, coaching and sharing my love for the game with a bunch of amazing individuals. So, whether I’m crafting, guiding professional development, or coaching on the court, I’m all about embracing lifes colorful and creative possibilities! Thanks for stopping by my corner of the web, and I hope you enjoy exploring my card creations and more.

  1. Hope your lockdown finishes soon, we are moving into Level 1 again tomorrow (in NZ) and even that will be a relief. When we were in complete lockdown I was amazed as to how little I crafted, did lots of baking (hence the whole country ran out of flour) and played a lot of basketball with my son. You’ve been very busy with the cards and they are simply gorgeous. You certainly had no trouble with the colour combo this month, I don’t know why I didn’t think of using kraft. The pink of the flowers is so pretty and the addition of the marker in the middle adds so much interest. And I gotta say those little penguins are too adorable. So very happy to see your designs at The Flower Challenge!!

    1. Tx Shona. We come out of Stage 4 on 28/9 and then Stage 3 on 28/10. We’re stuck in a 5km
Radius and only allowed to leave home for food, medical, care giving or exercise. Been that way for 6 weeks so going a bit stir crazy! Keep safe.

  2. You made such lovely cards here Tristan! loving the brown and pink one esp. the soft pink flowers really pop against the kraft background and the white leaves look so perfect with them too. Thanks for sharing with us over at ‘The Flower Challenge’ 😉 Viv DT xx
