ISO crafting

Well, I get a call today that Miss K is a COVID close contact, having spent 3 days at a friend’s place. Her friend’s sister and younger brother have tested positive. So off to get tested Miss K and I went. Now to wait 72 hours for the results to come back. Both of use are ISO in seperate parts of the house – I of course have scored my craft room!

So what’s a gal to do? Craft of course. It’s been a while since I’ve played along with some craft challenges other than those I’m on the Design Team for.

First up is a card for:

I used a new to me stamp from Pinkfresh Studios ‘Floral Focus’ that I coloured a couple of flowers using my Pale Papaya Stampin Blends and added a sentiment from Uniquely Creative. I decided that the sentiment worked better across my square panel than below, so slightly adjusted the sketch.

My second card is for:

I made a rather graphic looking Valentine’s card using Altenew’s ‘Woven Stripes’ that I ink smooshed some red and then added a die cut sentiment.

Well, that’s all for today. Thanks for stopping by for a look and keep your fingers crossed for a negative reault for Miss K and I.

Hey there! I’m a card-making enthusiast with a passion for creativity that knows no bounds. Currently, I’m fortunate to be a part of four fantastic international card design teams, where I get to explore my craft and connect with fellow artists from all corners of the globe. It’s amazing how the world of card making can bring people together, and I’m constantly inspired by the diversity of styles and ideas that come my way. Beyond my card-making adventures, I lead a pretty busy life in the learning and development field, where I work full time as a Learning Lead. I thrive on helping others grow and reach their full potential, and it’s a role that keeps me on my toes and constantly learning. When I’m not immersed in the world of work or crafting, you can find me on the netball court, coaching and sharing my love for the game with a bunch of amazing individuals. So, whether I’m crafting, guiding professional development, or coaching on the court, I’m all about embracing lifes colorful and creative possibilities! Thanks for stopping by my corner of the web, and I hope you enjoy exploring my card creations and more.

  1. Beautiful cards Tristan. Great to craft to while away the time…. very frustrating to try and each isolate in different areas of the house. Praying for a negative result for you both. Here in NZ we have some Omicron in the community so a tightening of the gathering numbers. Looking at work to having two teams and working alternative days to reduce the risks. Take care Tristan and as soon as you can, give your girl a big hug.

  2. I love both cards, Tristan. I haven’t seen that fabulous woven strips stamp and it looks great smooshed. Thanks for playing our love challenge at Time Out. It’s great to see you in the gallery. I love to have a chance to play a challenge that I am not designing for too. I hope you get (or have gotten) good news on your tests. Take care.

  3. You’ve created an interesting Valentine’s card, I love the daring design with the bold geometric pattern. The smooshed red creates an interesting effect, and the sentiment says it all. Great project overall, and I hope you managed to distract yourself while working on it. I’m glad to hear it was just a scare after all. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.

    Hugs, Veronika

  6. So glad you got a negative result. Omicron has just hit the community here in NZ, so we’re bracing for the onslaught! In the meantime, what fabulous cards you have created. Obviously isolation didn’t affect your mojo! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
