WWC#268 – Dawn’s Challenge: All About Occasions

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Dawn is our host with an all about occasions challenge this week!

I decided to make a black and white card with no stamping just a stunning yet fiddly die cut.

I think I might mail this to my daughter, to remind her that she’s beautiful – inside and out.

Come join in the fun and make a card for an occasion of your choosing. Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Tuesday, 28th April at 10:00 Melbourne Time or Monday 27th April 5pm US Mountain Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Sunday Funday

Another weekend in ISO means another weekend of crafting and playing with some challenges.

First up is a card for Cardz 4 Guys #242 – On, in or by the sea.

I decided to use a Stampin Up set called ‘Sailing Home’ and a world embossing folder. I inked up the inside of my embossing folder and then ran it through my Big Shot to impress the ink on my paper. I love this effect. I then stamped and cut out a few of my sailing images and mounted over some blue and white twine.

Next is a card for 3 challenges:

For my card I die cut 3 squares from the bottom of a white card panel and mounted it over a green base, then added a sentiment and a water coloured parrot that I had pre-coloured and cutout in my stash.

Next is a card for CASology #366 which is all about zodiacs.

Again I went to my stash as I know I had a cute little lion thanks to my last crafty session with my friend Michelle. I coloured him in and cut him out and popped him inside a sentiment circle and Altenew die and I was done!

Lastly a card for CAS Christmas – April – Christmas Song.

I used a super cute stamp set from Hello Bluebird ‘Joyful mouse’, my Stampin Blends and some puffy paint.

Well that’s it for today. Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers – U is for Upcycle

Today, I’m over on the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers blog as their guest designer as I was crowned Queen of their B is for Booze challenge, so I get to play along this week with their U is for Upcycle challenge.

When Chelle first told me the theme, I must admit I had a bit of a freak out about what I could make, so I did a bit of googling of the word and came away with a few ideas for inspiration.

I decided to poke some fun at my hubby using a Unity Stamp Co stamp called ‘Sawyer Guy’ which I water coloured and then added a sentiment I created on my PC.

Going cheap – LOL!

I’m pretty pleased with how this card worked out. Why don’t you come join in the fun; check out the blog for all the other amazing creations from the SOSS designers.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Fusion: Let us remember

Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I was inspired by both the sketch and photo for my card. I used a stamp set from Unity Stamp Co called ‘Donna poppies’. I stamped the small outline flower over the card base and then stamped one with red, fussy cut it out and popped it up on the sentiment.

Come join in the fun and make a card based on the sketch, inspiration photo or both! Check out the projects that the other artists at Fusion have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 29th April at 5pm Melbourne Time or Tuesday 28th April 12pm US Pacific Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

WWC#267 – Karen’s Challenge: Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Karen is our host with masculine challenge this week!

I created a rather simple card using Stampin Up ‘All Geared Up’ stamps and dies. I coloured the car with my Stampin Blends and added a bit of crystal effects for the windscreen, die cut the gears from silver cardstock and popped it all onto a DSP panel and black card base.

Come join in the fun and make a masculine card. Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Tuesday, 21st April at 10:00 Melbourne Time or Monday 20th April 5pm US Mountain Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Easter crafting

The Easter bunny paid Miss K a visit today (despite her being 13 – she still wanted to do a hunt!) so I was able to get crafty whilst she was in a chocolate coma!

First up is a card for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #157 – R is for Retro.

For my card, I found a retro image of a kid eating beans and added a cheeky sentiment I created on my PC.

Next is a card for the Sisterhood of Crafters – Kids.

I created a rainbow cloud background using some Catherine Pooler Design inks and added the cute squirrel image from Lawn Fawn ‘Really High Five’ coloured with my Stampin Blends.

Next is a card for Seize the Birthday #187 – Spring Fling.

I created a card for my Step-Mum whose birthday is coming up soon using the Stampin Up ‘Grace’s Garden’ stamp set and matching dies.

This is the view of the card slightly opened with a glimpse of the front and inside.

Next is a card for The Flower Challenge #43 – Spring/Autumn.

I made another card using the ‘Grace’s Garden’ stamp set and dies.

The front of the card closed
The inside of the card.

Next is a card for:

I created an ink smooshed background and used a die from Paper Roses ‘Snowflake border’ over the top and then a polar bear from MFT ‘Polar Bear Pals’ coloured with my Stampin Blends popped up over the panel.

Well, that’s it for today – I’d better go stop Miss K from eating all the eggs and getting a stomach ache. Happy Easter and enjoy your weekend.

Less is More #416 – No Sentiment

Today I’m playing along with the current Less is More #416 challenge which is all about No Sentiment on a One Layer Card.

I decided to use a new stamp set I bought from Unity Stamp Co called ‘Koala-ty Friend’. It has the most adorable images. I stamped the hugging koalas and coloured them with my Stampin Blends and then fussy cut and popped them up. I did a bit of ink smooshing on the base and added a few pink hearts for balance and in substitute for the sentiment.

I just love this sweet image and I plan to send this to one of my friends during the COVID-19 lockdown to let them know I’m thinking of them.

Thanks for looking, stay safe and enjoy the rest of your day.

WWC #266 – Heidi’s Challenge: All About Occasions Challenge

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Heidi is our host with an all about occasions challenge this week!

Awhile ago Miss K (my daughter) and I were randomly punching circles from different DSP and layering them to create pretty patterns. Today, I finally used some of them for the front of this card along with an embossed sentiment from Taylored Expressions.

Come join in the fun and make a card for an occasion of your choice. Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Tuesday, 14th April at 10:00 Melbourne Time or Monday 13th April 5pm US Mountain Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Christmas Craft Creations – April – Use a stamp (no digis)

Well, this month we have another challenge over at Christmas Craft Creations challenge blog with an optional twist to stamp without any digis.

I used a cute set from Hello Bluebird called ‘Joyful Mouse’. I stamped the 3 mice, some hats, candy canes, holly and the sentiment than coloured them with my Stampin Blends. I fussy cut the mice out and popped them up on a film strip frame.

I think I’ll be using this set a whole lot more.

Come join in our fun and add to your Christmas card stash. Visit the challenge blog to check out the inspiration the other CCCettes have made. Link up your card by 3am 6th May (Melbourne time) or 6pm 5th May (UK time).

I’m also entering this card over at CAS Christmas – April – Christmas Song .

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Monday Makes

So I have started my Easter shutdown leave. Those of us not considered essential at work have been asked to take 2 weeks Easter leave and as we can’t go anywhere, I am having a holiday in my craft room. I plan on making lots of cards and I think I might also learn some new software that might benefit me at work. Now onto the cards!

First up is a card for:

I played around with a funky stamp set from The Workshop of Karine called ‘Urban Jungle Boy’, which has the coolest zoo animals all dressed up. I stamped and coloured the rhino with my Stampin Blends, added a bit of ink smooshing and some geometric shapes along with a cut up sentiment from The Ton and mounted it all on a white card base and the card was done.

Next up is a card for TGIF Challenges #258 – Rainbow colour challenge.

I decided to use some rainbow paper scraps behind a die cut circle with a popped up sentiment for my card. Super simple yet really effective.

Lastly is a card for:

I decided to use a stamp set from PTI called ‘Feather Finery’ white heat embossed and then some ink smooshing using my Kaleidacolour ‘Berry blaze’ ink pad.

Well, that’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by; stay safe and healthy.
