Less is More #416 – No Sentiment

Today I’m playing along with the current Less is More #416 challenge which is all about No Sentiment on a One Layer Card.

I decided to use a new stamp set I bought from Unity Stamp Co called ‘Koala-ty Friend’. It has the most adorable images. I stamped the hugging koalas and coloured them with my Stampin Blends and then fussy cut and popped them up. I did a bit of ink smooshing on the base and added a few pink hearts for balance and in substitute for the sentiment.

I just love this sweet image and I plan to send this to one of my friends during the COVID-19 lockdown to let them know I’m thinking of them.

Thanks for looking, stay safe and enjoy the rest of your day.

Christmas Craft Creations – April – Use a stamp (no digis)

Well, this month we have another challenge over at Christmas Craft Creations challenge blog with an optional twist to stamp without any digis.

I used a cute set from Hello Bluebird called ‘Joyful Mouse’. I stamped the 3 mice, some hats, candy canes, holly and the sentiment than coloured them with my Stampin Blends. I fussy cut the mice out and popped them up on a film strip frame.

I think I’ll be using this set a whole lot more.

Come join in our fun and add to your Christmas card stash. Visit the challenge blog to check out the inspiration the other CCCettes have made. Link up your card by 3am 6th May (Melbourne time) or 6pm 5th May (UK time).

I’m also entering this card over at CAS Christmas – April – Christmas Song .

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Monday Makes

So I have started my Easter shutdown leave. Those of us not considered essential at work have been asked to take 2 weeks Easter leave and as we can’t go anywhere, I am having a holiday in my craft room. I plan on making lots of cards and I think I might also learn some new software that might benefit me at work. Now onto the cards!

First up is a card for:

I played around with a funky stamp set from The Workshop of Karine called ‘Urban Jungle Boy’, which has the coolest zoo animals all dressed up. I stamped and coloured the rhino with my Stampin Blends, added a bit of ink smooshing and some geometric shapes along with a cut up sentiment from The Ton and mounted it all on a white card base and the card was done.

Next up is a card for TGIF Challenges #258 – Rainbow colour challenge.

I decided to use some rainbow paper scraps behind a die cut circle with a popped up sentiment for my card. Super simple yet really effective.

Lastly is a card for:

I decided to use a stamp set from PTI called ‘Feather Finery’ white heat embossed and then some ink smooshing using my Kaleidacolour ‘Berry blaze’ ink pad.

Well, that’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by; stay safe and healthy.

Fusion: Gnomes

Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I was inspired by both the sketch and the photo. I used a Simon Says Stamp gnome die and some Stampin Up DSP for my card. I kept it pretty simple and just changed up the direction and matching of the DSP.

Come join in the fun and make a card based on the sketch, inspiration photo or both! Check out the projects that the other artists at Fusion have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 15th April at 7pm Melbourne Time or Tuesday 14th April 12pm US Pacific Time to link up your project.

Cards for Self-Isolation

I have decided to make cards to send to many of my friends during our requirement to self-isolate to let them know that I am thinking of them and there for them when they need a chat.

I really likes the sketch a Freshly Made Sketches #428 and used some Altenew stamps and dies to play along with Happy Little Stampers – Dies – March.

I actually made 12 of these cards with a variety of background DSP. The circular die is a bit fiddly when trying to get the paper out so they took quite a bit of time to make.

My second card is for the Happy Little Stampers – Watercolour- March challenge with an optional twist to add flowers.

I had some floral images ready to colour in my stash from my last visit to my friend Michelle’s house, so this card didn’t take long at all to pull together. I water coloured the flower and leaves and then fussy cut them out, added a sentiment banner and mounted them onto some DSP.

Well, I have another 22 cards to be made, so I’d better get back to it.

Thanks for looking, enjoy the rest of your weekend and stay safe and well.

WWC #264 – Helen's Challenge: 'All About Occasions'

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Helen is our host with an all about occasions challenge this week!

I finally got to play with my The Ton ‘Transformation’ stamp set. I made an alcohol ink background and then gold embossed the butterfly and fussy cut it out, mounted it on a white card base with a few sequins.

Come join in the fun and make a card for an occasion of your choice. Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Tuesday, 31st March at 9:00 Melbourne Time or Monday 30th March 5pm US Mountain Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Just Us Girls #528

This post is brought to you by my daughter Miss K (with a bit of formatting help by me).

Hi everyone. I’m home from school due to COVID-19 shutdown and am bored – LOL. I asked mum if there were any challenges she had that I could play along with. She gave me a list and I like the Just Us Girls #528 colour challenge the best.

I really liked these colours and thought I’d create a scene with my pencils, some cardstock and a sentiment mum had already printed.

I hope you like by card and I think I’ll be doing more while I can’t go to school.

Post birthday crafting

I finally had a bit of time to myself after all the birthday activities for Miss K , and keeping in mind social distancing. It was such a tough thing for Miss K to have to go through as she enters her teenager hood and I’ve made some pretty big promises to make it up to her when we are all clear in the future.

Some on to some prettiness to brighten your day.

First up a card for Seize the Birthday #185 – a touch of green.

I made a panel with my green AIs and used a sentiment from the Ton and my card was done – how simple is that?!

Next is a card for:

I used the Stampin Up set ‘ Dressed to Impress’ and matching dies and DSP for my card coloured with my Stampin Blends.

Lastly is a card for:

I was doing some colouring of some images that I stamped ages ago when I last caught up with my friend Michelle and came across these adorable unicorns (sorry can’t remember who makes them) and knew they were perfect for these 2 challenges.

Well, that’s it for today. Off to get ready for school and non-essential services shutdown from Tuesday. It’s just got very real here. Keep safe and healthy. Thanks for looking.
