Monday Funday

Hello and welcome to my Monday Funday post. If you’ve been following me, you’ll now you know the drill that I love to play with challenges and today is no exception!

First up is a card for 2 challenges:

I used a stamp set from Stampin Up called ‘ Picked for you’ inked up in SU inks Lucky Limeade, Certainly Celery and Lemon Lime Twist.

I think every teacher needs a bit of appreciation for all that they do!

Next is a card for AAA Cards #148.

I turned the sketch on it’s side and created a cloudy background for my Katzelkraft giraffe who has a bit of a boo boo!

The similarity to Ishani’s card is unintended as I don’t look at DT cards till I’m done. All I say is ‘great minds!”

Next is a card for another 2 challenges:

I used an old Stampin Up digital stamp for my focal sentiment and a wine glass and bottle from a set from an old craft magazine. I die cut the sentiment and popped it up to give some dimension to the card.

Lastly is a card for 2 more challenges:

I create an ink smooshed background with my Kaleidacolor ‘Caribbean sea’ ink pad. I then lifted some of the background with a baby wipe through a harlequin stencil. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp ‘Big Birthday Wishes’.

Well, that’s it for today. Thanks for looking and have a great day.

You’re so tweet!

Can you see me happy dancing as netball has been cancelled today, so I can stay home and craft? It’s the small things right?!

First is a card for The Library Challenge #40.

I was inspired by the bird on the cover of this book and had some pre-stamped and cut out images from the last time I visited my friend Michelle, that all I had to do was colour them in and add them to a card base.

Next is a birthday card for a guy who loves beer. I’m entering this over at Cardz4Guyz #227 – Celebrate challenge.

I used a beer stamp from Unity Stamps which I coloured with my Stampin Blends and then added some puffy paint to look like the beer foam.

My third card is for challenges over at Freshly Made Sketches #401 and Seize the Birthday #173 – square card.

I went super CAS with my card, sponging a circle in Stampin Up Smoky Slate ink, a sentiment from MFT popped up over some vellum leaves and a bit of gold thread.

Well that’s it for today, thanks for looking and have a great day.

WWC #237 – Michelle’s ‘Anything Goes Feminine’ Challenge

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Michelle is our host with an anything goes feminine challenge this week!

I heat embossed my flowers and loosely watercoloured them in. I added a stripe of black and white diagonal DSP, the sentiment banner and some sequins for balance.

Weekend Makes

I had a chance to play along with some of my favourite challenges this weekend before we head out for our Father’s Day celebrations.

First up – Fusion Challenges – Floral Wall. and Paper Craft Crew Challenges #349.

I loved the sketch and decided to use the butterflies from the Stampin Up ‘Butterfly Wishes’ stamp set. I used some Catherine Pooler Design inks, punched them out and roughly layered on my white card base.

Next, Freshly Made Sketches #400 – what a fabulous milestone.

I used a new die from Paper Roses for the center of my panel (over a sponged background) and a sentiment from Taylored Expressions.

Next up, CAS Colours & Sketches #336 and Global Design Project #204.

I was inspired by the three main flowers on Kerstin’s card and decided to place my flowers in the position of the stars from the sketch. I used a set from Simon Says Stamp called ‘Delicate Flowers’ which I coloured with my Stampin Blends and cut out on my Scan’n’Cut.

Lastly is a card for TGIF Challenges #227.

I created an alcohol ink background on some transparent Yupo which really makes the colours pop when overlaid on a white card base. I used a sentiment form Simon Says Stamp ‘Big Birthday Wishes’ which I heat embossed in silver embossing powder.

Well, that’s it for today – off for Father’s Day lunch. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Just Us Girls – #503 – Wild Card Week – Splash

Well hello and welcome to my last week as a Guest Designer roll over at Just Us Girls. This week our challenge is to splash something on your card.

I’ve had a ball playing along with the other JUGS DTs and am sad about finishing up and that is what inspired my card this week – tears – I decided to create a card with a ‘splash’ of rain that sort of looks like tears- LOL!

I used a Stampin Up set called ‘Beautiful You’ which I heat embossed, coloured and masked before I drizzled soe blue water coloured ink down to look like rain. I then used a rain drop stencil to lift off some of the blue colour. I’m pretty happy with how this worked out.

Check out the Just Us Girls challenge blog for links to the other fabulous projects from the DT and come join in our fun and share your project by 11am Friday 6th September (Melbourne time) or 9pm Thursday 5th September (US Eastern Standard time) .

Thanks to the JUGS DT team for having me this past month, I’ve had a blast.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

WWC #235 – Heidi’s ‘All About Occasions’ Challenge

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Heidi is our host with an all about occasions challenge this week!

I’d I kept this card very monochrome, heat embossing my Altenew flowers ad the colouring with similar shades of blue as per the cardstock. I added the sentiment on a black banner for effect.

Come join in the fun and make a card for an occasion of your choice. Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. 4 very different cards

Today, I’m playing with some of my new goodies I bought at the Paperific craft show on Friday.

First up a card for Christmas Kickstart Challenge – canine companions and Little Red Wagon #511 – Tag it!

I used the Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs stamp set for my card – I love these cheeky dogs. I added some puffy paint to the hat and created the sentiment on my laptop.

Next is another Christmas card, this time for ABC Christmas Challenge. I chose R for reindeer. My stamp is from Woodware Craft Collection called ‘reindeer bells’ which I coloured with my Stampin Blends.

Next is a card for The Flower Challenge #35 – favourite flower.

At the moment, I’m loving this multi-layer stencil from Altenew which I sponged with my Catherine Poolers Design inks.

Lastly is a card for Happy Little Stampers – Watercolour Challenge – Ocean and CASology #350- Water.

I created a watercoloured background with my Kaleidacolor ink pad ‘Denim’ and a digital surfer image. I love how this background came out.

Well that’s it for today – thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Just Us Girls – #502 – Photo Inspiration

Well hello and welcome to week 4 0f my Guest Designer roll over at Just Us Girls. This week we have a photo inspiration for you.

Here’s a close up for you. Isn’t this a pretty table setting?

I was inspired by the cup and saucer plus the colours of the flowers for my card. I had a tea cup and saucer already coloured and cut out in my stash (I think this was a stamp set from my friend Jo). I added a sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays set ‘Coffee Talk’ that sums up how I feel once I’ve had my morning cuppa!

Check out the Just Us Girls challenge blog for links to the other fabulous projects from the DT and come join in our fun and share your project by 11am Friday 30th August (Melbourne time) or 9pm Thursday 29th August (US Eastern Standard time) .

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Mid-week crafting

It’s a bit unusual for me to get crafty mid-week but I had some spare time last night.

First up is a card for The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #141

For this card I used a stamp from Katzelkraft, which I watercoloured in and added to a card front with my PC generated sentiment. I also added a sentiment for the inside of the card (to slightly softed to blow!)

Next up is a card for Happy Little Stampers – Anything Goes with Dies – August

I used the Stampin Up Frosted Frames dies to create this wreath from green glitter paper. Nice and easy with a banner across the middle and a si=oft white bow.

Next is a card for TGIF Challenge #225.

I stamped and embossed my Concord & 9th floral image on black cardstock. I then selectively coloured some of the petals and leaves with white chalk and then used pink, blue and yellow inks over the top for a really subtle look using the inspiration photo colours.

Lastly is a card for CAS Christmas – August – Glitter.

I created an alcohol ink background panel with a bit of gold flakes and a gold embossed sentiment over the circle feature.

Well that’s it for today. Thanks for looking and have a great day.

WWC #235 – Marsha’s ‘Anything Goes Masculine’ Challenge

For my card I created a stencilled background using my Oxide Inks, used a banner for the sentiment and added a bit of black and white twine
