AAA Birthday #70 – Ink Smooshing

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!

Ink smooshing is one of my favourite techniques; I love how your outputs are never the same and how you can layer the colours if you dry between applications.

I made 2 cards for this challenge, one feminine and one masculine. I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Saltwater taffy, Picked raspberry and Seedless preserves (feminine) and Mermaid lagoon, Cracked pistachio and Peacock feathers (masculine). The sentiment on the feminine card is from Altenew ‘Birthday Greetings’ and I used a die cut for the sentiment on the masculine card. The butterfly die was in my stash and I added Satmpin Up enamel dots to both cards.

AAA Birthday #69 – Winter Birthday

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!

I used some of the snowflakes from the Kanban stamp set ‘Reindeers & Snowflakes’ inked up with my Altenew blue ink range and a sentiment I created on my PC. I think the silve3r die cut snowflake behind the sentiment helps it pop.

AAA Birthday #68 – Levely Layers

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!

I used a new stamp set with matching dies and DSP from Stampin Up ‘Regal Flora’. I stamped the flowers and leaves in Cherry Cobler, Blackberry Bliss, Berry Burst, Shaded Spruce and Wild Wheat, then die cut them out before layering over my DSP panel and white base that I embossed.

This will be a perfect birthday card for my mother-in-law.

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you – so go wild, just remember to keep it birthday focussed!

My favourite image comes from a Stampin Up DSP called ‘True Love’. I just love those flowers . I coloured 3 of them using my Stampin Blends in Pineapple Pinch and Daffodil Delight. I fussy cut them out and added over some die cut leaves from the Stampin Up ‘Forever Fern’ die set.I die cut my sentiment in black and yellow for a shadow effect.

AAA Birthday #66 – Circle Shaped

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!

I used up a stack of DSP scraps with a variety of circle punches in different sizes and then overlaid them to create my background. I added a circle sentiment from Uniquely Creative with some looped twine behind it and my card was done.

Maybe I took the circle theme a bit too far or maybe I didn’t I’ll leave that up to you to decide!

I love how broad this theme is, all you have to do is make it a birthday card! I used some Stampin Up DSP ‘Rock & Roll’ which I coloured with my Stampin Blends and then popped up the sentiment over some bronze twine and a couple of die cut pics.

AAA Birthday #64 – Critters

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!

Anyone who knows me knows that I love to make cards with critters on them so was thrilled when this theme popped up. For my card I used Stampin Up stamp sets ‘Drizzling Droplets’ inked in Slate Grey and a sentiment from ‘Happiest of Birthdays’ and one of the cute bunnies from CAS-ual Fridays ‘Somebunny’ stamp set. I did a few layers with Stampin Up DSP from the In Colour range for 2024 along with Slate Grey card stock.

AAA Birthday #63 – Fabulous Flowers

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!

This is one of my favourite themes for the year, as I love making cards with flowers on them. For my card, I used the ‘True Beauty’ stamp set and matching dies inked up in Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz and Petal Pink from Stampin Up. I also used SU markers in Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo and Pear Pizzazz to provide some depth to the flowers and leaves. My card base is made from Basic Beige cardstock with a camouflage stamped Basic Beige panel. I die cut a Petal Pink panel to look like lace to place behind my flowers and leaves.

The winter light makes the petal pick look more apricot, but I think it still looks pretty.

I have a niece who’s got a birthday coming up soon and she loves all things unicorn, so this was a perfect challenge theme to make her a card.

I used Pinkfresh Studi set ‘Magical Unicorn’ with it’s matching dies to make the face of my unicorn and a sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays ‘Be a Unicorn’.

AAA Birthday #61 CAS (clean & simple)

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!
