Sketch Saturday #774 opt add an embellishment

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

All the products on this card are from Stampin Up. The background panel is a retured DSP that I sponged with Pear Pizzaz ink. I then stamped and coloured 3 of the roses and leaves from the Cottage Rose stamp set using Old Olive, Pale papaya and Petal Pink blends. The sentiment is from the Delightful Wishes die set.

Sketch Saturday #772 opt feature a window

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

I don’t have any window dies or stamps but thought this sentiment/polaroid die looked like a window when I added the cute dog from the Colorado Craft Company ‘Christmas Hats’ stamp set coloured with my Stampoin Blends with a bit of puff paint added to the hat. For the sketch orner bow element, I stamp a few holly leaves and berries form the Stampin Up ‘Poinsettia Petals’ stamp set.

Sketch Saturday #771 opt add a button

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

I used the optional twist to add buttons to my card, making them with a Sizzix embosslit called ‘sweet buttons’. I stamped my sentiment from Kaiserkraft ‘Falala’ and popped that over some Stampin Up DSP ‘Boughs of Holly’.

Sketch Saturday #770 – Opt twist to make it a ‘Thinking of You’ card

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

This time I didn’t go with the optional twist, rather I made a masculine birthday card. I used all Stampin Up products – cardstock in Seaside Spray, Exposed Brick embossing folder (I applied ink to the folder before I used it), Autumn Expressions dies, Seaside Spray ink and white embossing powder.

Sketch Saturday #769 opt twist add a flower

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

I went with the optional twist to add a flower and made my card a Christmas card with a die cut flower from Stampin Up ‘Poinsettia Petals’ dies. I popped this up over some Stampin Up DSP ‘Boughs of Holly on a Cherry Cobler cardstock base. I made the sentiment on my PC.

Sketch Saturday #768 opt twist include a heart

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

I decided to do some colour blocking with scrap paper for my background. I then stamped and die cut the cake from the Stampin Up ‘Cake Celebrations’ set. This is a nice and simple card for a masculine birthday.

Sketch Saturday #767 opt twist use striped paper

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

I was inspired to make my first Christmas card of 2025 – I need to start early as I send about 100 cards every year! For this card I used some retired DSP from Stampin up ‘Boughs of Holly’ for my background panels and the a sentiment I chopped apart from Uniquely Creative. Super simple but very classic looking, don’t you think?

Sketch Saturday #766 – Opt make a tag (or use a tag on your card)

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

I was so inspired when I saw this sketch that I just started created before I remembered we had an option to add a tag or use a tag on my card. Not to worry, it was just optional 🙂 I think I’ve made a super cute Christmas card using retired items from Stampin Up ‘Signs of Santa’ stamp set and ‘Santa’s Workshop’ DSP.

Sketch Saturday #765 – 5th Saturday – Pick from the Archives

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge andas it’s the 5th Saturday in the month, it’s pick from the archives!

I’ve chosen Sketch #1 from July 2010.

I hope all my Christmas cards are inspiring you. This one uses some fabulous DSP from Stampin Up ‘Sentimental Christmas’ added on top of some Pear Pizzazz card stock and a Barely Beige card base. The sentiment circles are from a Uniquely Creative cut apart.

Sketch Saturday #764 – Opt distress something on your card

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and do we have a great sketch and optional twist for you!

Again, I’m adding to my Christmas card stash with a card using an adorable elf from the MFT ‘Santa’s Elves’ stamp set that I’ve coloured with my Stampin Blends and cut out with the matching dies. I added some puffy paint to the hat and sleeves and popped him up over from black and white diagonal DSP.

As you can see, you don’t have to use the shapes from the sketch – I’ve replaced the circles with a tree, a present and the efl.
