All About Christmas

I love getting inspiration to create Christmas cards, it help keeps the feeling going all year-long. Today I’m playing with the current challenge at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges who have an All About Christmas challenge.

Last time I was at my friend Michelle’s place, she had a new die that features a deer and tree. I cut myself a stash ready for putting together on some cards, but time got away from me until now and I finally have used them. I created an alcohol ink background to go behind the die cut and added a bit of silver thread for the finishing touch.

I think next time I might try some now traditional coloured backgrounds.

  2. Wow, Tristan, I can see why you wanted a few of these die-cuts. The images are absolutely stunning. And showing them off against that wonderful alcohol ink background was brilliant. Love the mix of colours and the way the white shows so well against them. The addition of that silver thread is both simple and perfect.   4. Beautiful die cut of the tree and deer Tristan. I like your alchol ink background behind the die cut and the addition of the bow. Although there’s lots of white space on the card the design is well balanced and you’re drawn in to the alcohol inks in the circle’s background. Very nice.
