Sunday Serenity

All is quiet in my household today, mainly ’cause I shut my craft room door so I couldn’t hear anyone – LOL!

As per my usual M.O. I went to my list of challenges for inspiration.

First card off the rank is for The Card Concept, which has a photo of a set dining table for inspiration.

I was inspired by the gold cutlery and the orange flowers in the picture. I used a die from Simon Says Stamp called ‘Cosmo flower frame’ with some gold foil paper. The background piece I created with some alcohol inks on Yupo paper. I opted for no sentiment so that I could use the card for any occasion. I’m really happy with how this turned out.

Second card is for the Paper Craft Crew challenge which is all about By the Sea,

I kept this card simple in blue, black and white using a Simon Says Stamp set called ‘Sailing’. I added a little bit of white puffy paint to look like waves on the ocean.

My third card is for the current MUSE challenge. I loved the card Anita created and set to masking and sponging a panel on my card front.

I used a retired Stampin Up set called ‘Inspired by Nature’ stamped in black ink over my sponged panel in Shabby shutters, Crushed olive and Peeled paint distress inks. I added a little bit of water splatter for a rain drop effect. Another card I’m really happy with.

Well that’s it for todays’ crafting, I’m off to watch a bit of tv with Miss K.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Hey there! I’m a card-making enthusiast with a passion for creativity that knows no bounds. Currently, I’m fortunate to be a part of four fantastic international card design teams, where I get to explore my craft and connect with fellow artists from all corners of the globe. It’s amazing how the world of card making can bring people together, and I’m constantly inspired by the diversity of styles and ideas that come my way. Beyond my card-making adventures, I lead a pretty busy life in the learning and development field, where I work full time as a Learning Lead. I thrive on helping others grow and reach their full potential, and it’s a role that keeps me on my toes and constantly learning. When I’m not immersed in the world of work or crafting, you can find me on the netball court, coaching and sharing my love for the game with a bunch of amazing individuals. So, whether I’m crafting, guiding professional development, or coaching on the court, I’m all about embracing lifes colorful and creative possibilities! Thanks for stopping by my corner of the web, and I hope you enjoy exploring my card creations and more.

  2. All your cards are beautiful Tristan! I especially love the background you made with the alcohol inks and yupo paper. I just had a go with those things for the first time just the other day and they are so much fun to play with. Thanks so much for joining us this week at The Card Concept.

  3. All gorgeous cards! I love how you switched around the orientation of my card and love the blend of green tones with the grasses overstamped. Thanks so much for playing along at Muse this week, Anita x
