Challenge Crafting

Hello there – I’m back a few cards for some of my favourite challenges.

First up is a card for AAA Cards #142 – OLC optional twist black and white.

I used a stamp set from Mama Elephant called ‘Cat’s Meow’ which I stamped in Catherine Pooler Designs midnight ink. Now I’d usually colour a few of the kitties, but to stay within the challenge I only coloured a few in my lighted black Stampin Blends.

AAA Cards have a design team call out – so I’m going to throw my hat in with this card.

Next up is a card for Freshly Made Sketches #392.

I got a new sentiment set and matching dies from Taylored Expressions called ‘Simple Strips Background’ that stamps 18 sentiments at once and then die cuts them all at the same time too – brilliant! The wine glass is from Tim Holtz ‘Wine Blueprint’ coloured with my cherry cobbler Stampin Blends. I added a touch of crystal effects to the glass to show the light reflection.

Next is a card for Time Out Challenges #137 – Nature.

For this card I used a stamp from Picket Fences called ‘Aoenium African Succulent’ which I roughly watercoloured and added to a white card base with a black and white striped panel. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions ‘Simple Strip Background’. I added a few sequins for some balance.

Next is a card for two challenges -> Alphabet Challenge – F is for flowers and Less is More #379.

For this card, I sponged a panel with Stampin Up fresh fig and balmy blue inks and then die cut the floral image from the panel. I then mounted this die cut onto a white card base and added a sentiment from Taylored Expressions ‘Simple Strip Background’.

Lastly is a card for Paper Craft Crew Challenge #340 – Precious Pets.

I love cats so used a stamp from a set I got with a crafting magazine ‘Making Cards & Papercraft’ called ‘Catitude’. This stamp reminds me of my ginger boy Oscar when he stretches.

Well, that’s all for today – thanks for looking and have a great day.

Hey there! I’m a card-making enthusiast with a passion for creativity that knows no bounds. Currently, I’m fortunate to be a part of four fantastic international card design teams, where I get to explore my craft and connect with fellow artists from all corners of the globe. It’s amazing how the world of card making can bring people together, and I’m constantly inspired by the diversity of styles and ideas that come my way. Beyond my card-making adventures, I lead a pretty busy life in the learning and development field, where I work full time as a Learning Lead. I thrive on helping others grow and reach their full potential, and it’s a role that keeps me on my toes and constantly learning. When I’m not immersed in the world of work or crafting, you can find me on the netball court, coaching and sharing my love for the game with a bunch of amazing individuals. So, whether I’m crafting, guiding professional development, or coaching on the court, I’m all about embracing lifes colorful and creative possibilities! Thanks for stopping by my corner of the web, and I hope you enjoy exploring my card creations and more.
