Sunday Crafting

Today I’m crafting alongside Miss K. She’s playing with beads and I’m playing with paper and challenges (again- LOL).

First up is card for:

I was inspired by the pink tree and the idea of creating a pink starry sky. I sponged purple and pink inks to make the sky and added a bit of black to the edges for depth. I then added some water droplets to look like stars. The tree is heat embossed in black and the gold thread behind the sentiment looks like the tinsel on a tree.

Next is a card for:

I’ve never made a slimline card, so felt a bit out of my comfort zone. I reached for some SU DSP ‘Pampered pets’ and fussy cut the Great Dane and ball; added them to a text panel and a sentiment I made on my PC. I’m missing playing with all my friends now we’re in our COVID-19 second wave lock-down.

Next is a card for TGIF Challenges #275.

I decided to combine the themes of both pictures. I used a gingham DSP from SU and then a flower from Altenew ‘Garden Treasures’.

Next is card for Less is More #425 – Summer Flowers.

Again I used the Altenew ‘Garden Treasures’ flower in a stitched die panel and a sentiment from the Ton. I love the sunny yellow petals of this flower.

Well, that’s it for today – I’ve got Suncorp Super Netball to watch! Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.

Hey there! I’m a card-making enthusiast with a passion for creativity that knows no bounds. Currently, I’m fortunate to be a part of four fantastic international card design teams, where I get to explore my craft and connect with fellow artists from all corners of the globe. It’s amazing how the world of card making can bring people together, and I’m constantly inspired by the diversity of styles and ideas that come my way. Beyond my card-making adventures, I lead a pretty busy life in the learning and development field, where I work full time as a Learning Lead. I thrive on helping others grow and reach their full potential, and it’s a role that keeps me on my toes and constantly learning. When I’m not immersed in the world of work or crafting, you can find me on the netball court, coaching and sharing my love for the game with a bunch of amazing individuals. So, whether I’m crafting, guiding professional development, or coaching on the court, I’m all about embracing lifes colorful and creative possibilities! Thanks for stopping by my corner of the web, and I hope you enjoy exploring my card creations and more.

  1. WOW – you have been having fun Tristan. At least you are safe at home crafting. It is getting really bad with Covid over your way. Take care
