Getting my snark on!

Today I have a card for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #203 – J is for Judgemental.

I always love it when I can play along with the Sisterhood, it’s so much fun to be cheeky and I have quite a few friends who appreciate receiving these types of cards.

For my card, I used a stamp set from IndigoBlu ‘Be Yourself’ which I added to a piece of DSP with a hand drawn frame.

I know exactly which friend is getting this card!

Well, that’s it for today – a short sharp one. Thanks for stopping by for a look.

AAA Cards #208 – Black, White + One Colour

Hello there, it’s time for another AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

I made a card to send to my Step-Mum when Mother’s Day comes around and her favourite colour is pink, so naturally I went there for my one colour! I used Stampin Up ‘Magenta Madness’ on the ‘Amazing Silhouettes’ butterfly; cut my panel on an angle and added some black and white DSP behind it and a sentiment from Uniquely creative.

Come join in the fun; we’d love to see how you were inspired. Check out the projects that the other artists at AAA Cards have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Saturday, 19th February to link up your project.

Fusion: Valentine Cupcake

Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I fused both the sketch and photo for my card. I flipped the sketch to be verticle, embossed my background, stamped, coloured, fussy cut and added texture paste to my cupcake from Avery Elle ‘Cupcakes’ and added a sentiment from Stampin Up ‘Special Moments’ which is a Sale-a-bration goodie available till the end of Febrary.

Come join in the fun and make a card based on the sketch, inspiration photo or fuse them together and play with both! Check out the projects that the other artists at Fusion have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 17th February at 7pm Melbourne Time or Tuesday 16th February 12pm US Pacific Time to link up your project.

Just Add Ink #589 – Just Add Minimalist

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great theme for you!

Minimalist cards are my jam so I was super happy when this theme was suggested by Kelly. I’ve been feeling a bit snarky thatnks to the heat and humidity we’ve been having here in Melbourne so I turned to a sup image from Whimsey Stamps ‘Gosspi Gilrs’ and a sentiment from Picket Fences ‘ Natural State of Sarcasm’

Don’t we all know someone who this could apply to?!

Come join in the fun; we’d love to see how you were inspired. Check out the projects that the other artists at Just Add Ink have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 9th February at 10pm (AEDT) Australian Eastern Daylight Time to link up your project.

Couple of cards for a couple challenges.

Well it’s Sunday afternoon again (how does it come around so fast) and I’ve been playing in my craft room.

I’ve made 2 cards today for 4 challenges.

First up is a card for Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #202 – G is for geli printing.

SoSS is one of my favourite challenges to play along with as I get a chance to be nice and snarky! For my card I used 2 colours of acrylic paint and 2 different stencils. I then stamped a female skull and sentiment then popped them up over my geli printed background panel.

I love the graphic look of this card and how I was reminded to use a long forgotten crafty tool

My second card is for:

I made a card for my gorgeous daughter for Valentine’s Day. I used a new stamp set from Uniquely Creative ‘Gorgeous Girl’ and I watercoloured the flowers in her hair. I love watercolouring as you can be as precise or loose as you want and every time the outcome will be different.

I love how this turned out and it is perfect for my daughter.

Well, that’s all I have time for today as I must start getting things ready for my daughter’s return to school on Tuesday.

Thanks for stopping by for a look.

Just Add Ink #588 – Colour Challenge

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great theme for you!

I always love a colour theme as it helps me determine my card design. I used two new stamp sets – Stampin Up ‘Blessings from Home’ for the flower and Altenew ‘Woven Stripes’ for the background and sentiment. I stamped the woven background in Misty Midnight, then coloured the main flower in Magenta Madness and Just Jade. I decided to cut the flower into a smaller image to make it more of a focal point. I popped the flower and sentiment up with dimensionals and then added the panel to a white card base.

I love the graphic look of this card.

Come join in the fun; we’d love to see how you were inspired. Check out the projects that the other artists at Just Add Ink have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 2nd February at 10pm (AEDT) Australian Eastern Daylight Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

AAA Cards #207 – No Layers + Big Sentiment

Hello there, it’s time for another AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

I used the largest circle stamp from the Altenew ‘Halftone Circles’ inked up with Catherine Pooler Designs ‘Cranberry Fizz’ then added the sentiment from the Altenew ‘Everything About You’ stamp set.

Come join in the fun; we’d love to see how you were inspired. Check out the projects that the other artists at AAA Cards have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Saturday, 5th February to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

ISO crafting

Well, I get a call today that Miss K is a COVID close contact, having spent 3 days at a friend’s place. Her friend’s sister and younger brother have tested positive. So off to get tested Miss K and I went. Now to wait 72 hours for the results to come back. Both of use are ISO in seperate parts of the house – I of course have scored my craft room!

So what’s a gal to do? Craft of course. It’s been a while since I’ve played along with some craft challenges other than those I’m on the Design Team for.

First up is a card for:

I used a new to me stamp from Pinkfresh Studios ‘Floral Focus’ that I coloured a couple of flowers using my Pale Papaya Stampin Blends and added a sentiment from Uniquely Creative. I decided that the sentiment worked better across my square panel than below, so slightly adjusted the sketch.

My second card is for:

I made a rather graphic looking Valentine’s card using Altenew’s ‘Woven Stripes’ that I ink smooshed some red and then added a die cut sentiment.

Well, that’s all for today. Thanks for stopping by for a look and keep your fingers crossed for a negative reault for Miss K and I.

Fusion: Coffee Chalkboard

Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I was inspired by the chalkboard and the coffee cup in the photo, so I stamped the sentiments from the Lil’ Inker Designs ‘Latte love’ multiple times in white ink on a black cardbase. I then stamped the coffee cup in Stampin Up Island Indigo and Soft Suede.

I didn’t realise that I also followed the sketch until I’d finished putting all the elements together!

Come join in the fun and make a card based on the sketch, inspiration photo or fuse them together and play with both! Check out the projects that the other artists at Fusion have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 3rd February at 7pm Melbourne Time or Tuesday 2nd February 12pm US Pacific Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.
