Hey there! I’m a card-making enthusiast with a passion for creativity that knows no bounds. Currently, I’m fortunate to be a part of four fantastic international card design teams, where I get to explore my craft and connect with fellow artists from all corners of the globe. It’s amazing how the world of card making can bring people together, and I’m constantly inspired by the diversity of styles and ideas that come my way.
Beyond my card-making adventures, I lead a pretty busy life in the learning and development field, where I work full time as a Learning Lead. I thrive on helping others grow and reach their full potential, and it’s a role that keeps me on my toes and constantly learning. When I’m not immersed in the world of work or crafting, you can find me on the netball court, coaching and sharing my love for the game with a bunch of amazing individuals.
So, whether I’m crafting, guiding professional development, or coaching on the court, I’m all about embracing lifes colorful and creative possibilities! Thanks for stopping by my corner of the web, and I hope you enjoy exploring my card creations and more.
Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!
I love the look of the rainbow crayons and decided to use my new neon alcohol inks. I wanted to keep them the hero, so added the yupo panel to a white card base with a simple sentiment.
Come join in the fun and make a card based on the sketch, inspiration photo or fuse them together and play with both! Check out the projects that the other artists at Fusion have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us. You have until Wednesday, 2nd September at 7pm Melbourne Time or Tuesday 1st September 12pm US Pacific Time to link up your project.
I love how super quick and easy this card was. I fussy cut some flowers from the Stampin Up ‘True Love’ DSP and a Uniquely Creative sentiment and I was done.
Otherwise know as procraftinating! I should be doing chores and getting ready for the work/school week but continuing to be in COVID lockdown I really can’t be bothered. It’s also my mother’s 3rd birthday in heaven today and I’m feeling rather emotional and just need to be in my happy place.
I used a cute stamp set from Stampin Up ‘Turtle Friends’ that I inked up on a slimline card. I’ve been a terrible aunt and needed a belated birthday card.
I watercoloured the Penny Black ‘Hang on tight’ kitty and added a sentiment from The Ink Road ‘Zero fucks’. This is going to a friend of mine who is sick and tired of being in lockdown!.
You think it’s a cute card and then you see the snarky sentiment!
I just love the colours and the rug in this inspiration photo and used them to design my card. I stamped The Ton ‘Cherry Blossom’ twice; once in black and then the second time I used my Stampin Up markers to selectively colour that stamp. I then punched three circles from the coloured piece and overlayed them on the black panel to create a very subtle spotlight effect.
Well that’s it for today. Miss Kat and I are going to back some of my mother’s favourite things in her memory – honey joys, chocolate crackles and banana muffins.
Thanks for stopping by for a look. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Marsha is our host with an all about occasions challenge this fortnight!
I’ve been watching a few YouTubers and decided to give one of their cards a go for my Mother-in-Law’s birthday card. It’s called a fold back pop-up card. It has minimal stamping (just the sentiment form SSS) but lots of lovely DSP from Stampin Up ‘Flower & Field’.
You can see the front, side and top views in these pics.

Well, this month we have another challenge over at Christmas Craft Creations challenge blog to use non-tradtional colours on your project.
I did a bit of ink smooshing using Stampin Up inks in Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia. I added a white scene die cut over the top and a subtle sentiment from an old Stampin Up set, then mounted it all on a white card base.
I’m a little sad as this will be my last challenge as part of the design team. I’ve found myself struggling to balance my time between my full time day job, my daughter and her netball activities and my design team committments. I wish the design team and challenge blog all the best for the future; I’ve loved playing along and being inspired by you all.
Come join in the fun and add to your Christmas card stash. Visit the challenge blog to check out the inspiration the other CCCettes have made. Link up your card by 3am 7th September (Melbourne time) or 6pm (UK time).
I got a new stamp set from Altenew called ‘Spectacular Adventures’ that I thought would be perfect for these challenges. I stamped and heat embossed the glasses, then created an ombre sky with my Stampin Blends. I then die cut them and added the sentiment from PTI ‘Wet Paint’.
For this card I used the ‘Nature’s Harvest’ stamp set from Stampin Up. I coloured the main flower with my Stampin Blends and cut a spotlight out. The DSP is from SU ‘Harvest Meadown’ and the sentiment is from Clearly Besotted ‘Simply Said’.
For this card, I used one of my favourite layering floral dies from Altenew. It has 2 staggered panels that allows you to do some colouring to simulate the look of a flower.
Love the simplicity of this card.
Well, that’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by for a look. Keep safe.
Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!
I was inspired by the blurry background in the photo and the idea of a hybrid kitty/butterfly. I used one of the Tim Holtz cats from the CMS251 set, heat embossed, watercoloured and fussy cut him out. I then gave him some die cut wings and a sentiment made on my PC. I popped him up on an ink sponged night sky background I had in my stash.
I thought the look on this cat’s face was perfect for my card idea.

I created a background panel on some vellum with my Stampin Blends and alcohol ink blending solution. I then added some more die cut cottage flowers this time in black.
For this card I cut lots of strips of coloured cardstock and then adhered them to my card base. I added a die cut panel from Catherine Pooler Designs over the top and popped up my sentiment from Uniquely Creative.
Well, that’s it for today. Now I’m moving over to the couch for some more Olympics watching!
Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and I’m the host with a masculine challenge this fortnight!
I decided to make a birthday card for one of my young nephews using the Uniquely Creative ‘Snorkel Pals’ stamp set. I made an ink smooshed background then heat embossed, watercoloured and fussy cut out some of the images; then added them to the base.

I’ve been watching a few YouTube tutorials showing how you can use your Stampin Blends with alcohol blending solution to make some awesome backgrounds. I thought I’d have a bit of a play and try this technique out.
For this card I used some silver glitter AI cardstock from Tim Holtz as the base for my Blends scribbled background. I then heat embossed in black the Picket Fences ‘Aeonoim African Succulent’ and popped up a sentiment from Uniquely Creative.
For this card I made a grass/sky background and then black heat embossed the ‘4 Leaf Clover’ stamp from Colorado Craft Company. It needed a little bit extra so I coloured in the leaves and mouse.
For this card I made a green vellum background with my SU Blends and gold heat embossed the tree from Catherine Pooler Designs ‘Festive Trimmings’ off to one side within my window.
Well that’s it for today. I hope you give this technique a try. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
