I’ve just finished watching Episode #80 of Craft Roulette with Mary Gunn and Julie Carrniere over on YouTube and got creative straight away!

The wheel spun up the following themes:

• Project – A2 side fold card
• Colours – Yellow background
• Element – Postage stamp
• Random – Masking

So I don’t have any postage stamp images but I do have a die that makes a postage stamp shape, so have gone with that as my mask. I then sponged Distress Inks in Scattered straw, Mustard seed and Squeezed lemonade. I added a few water drops to break up the solid look of the background and then stamped a flower from Altenew’s Precious Peony stamp set. It would have been an OLC save for the sentiment!

Yesterday I watched another Craft Roulette with Mary Gunn Funn and Jeannie Lieu over on YouTube.

The wheel spun up the following themes:

• Project – Funn Flap Card
• Colours – My Fav 3 Colours
• Element – Under the Tree
• Random – Crinkle Inkle

I made a card with a little flap on the front using green, silver and white. The DSP is from Stampin Up ‘Whimsey & Wonder’ along with a trio of trees from ‘Whimsical Trees’ inked up in Soft Succulent ink. I crinkled the little bit of green paper on the flap.

Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I decided to play along with the sketch and the colours from the inspirational photo. I used some of the Stampin Up True Love DSP which I coloured with a variety of peached colour alcohol ink markers. I fussy cut them out and layered them according to the sketch and added them to a cream card base.

I’m a guest designer over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week as I won week #30 which was a colour challenge.

This week the theme is 3 blues; I love using non-traditional colours for Chrismas cards.

I decided to do an ink blended background with Stampin Up ‘Night of Navy’, Tim Holtz Distress inks in ‘Salty Ocean’ and ‘Tumbled Glass’. I then layed a stencil from Create a Smile ‘Wave of Stars’ over the blended background and lifted the ink with a baby wipe. I added a sentiment from Uniquely Creative with some silver thread and my card was done.

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Kath is our host with an all about ocassions challenge this fortnight!

I played with an awesome stamp and die set from Stampin Up called ‘Nature’s Harvest’. I stamped and coloured the main sunflower, die cut it out and then die cut the lavender from white cardstock and coloured that with my markers. Tied them up with some twine and popped them up over some DSP, an embossed card panel and my card was done.

I’ve used the Betta Fish Crowntail image from Fabrika Fantasy Digital Stamps. I printed the fish without the bubbles and then coloured her with my Derwent pencils and then fussy cut her out and added a sentiment from Uniquely Creative.

I made these 4 cards on Sunday for 6 challenges.

First up is a card for:

• 52 Christmas Card Throwdown #33 – Sketch
• Trimmies Craft Challenge #610 – Christmas

I fussy cut a Santa from some old Stampin Up DSP I had and popped him up over some tiny snow like squins to look like the stripes in the sketch and added a sentiment from The Ton.

Next is a card for Festive Friday #92.

I chose dove, white and leaves on a square card. The dove and leaves are die cuts from Stampin Up ‘Dove of Hope’.

Next is a card for:

• As you Like It – Favourite wild animal
• Alphabet Challenge Blog – K is for kindness in your sentiment

I use a watercoloured parrot from my stash which I popped up on my card and added a sentiment from Altenew. I love parrots as they have such beautiful colours.

Lastly is a card for Cardz4Galz #154 – National dog day.

I stamped one of the Tim Holtz dogs and coloured her with my Stamp Blends. I gave her a party hat and a sentiment from Uniquely Creative.

The wheel spun:

• Project -> Card with a tag
• Colours -> Red, Yellow, Vioet
• Element -> Starts with a ‘B’
• Random -> Ombre

I went to my Distress Oxide inks in Mustard Seed, Candied Apple and Wilted Violet; which I sponged in an ombre pattern (with a bit of water splatter). I then added the black die cut blooms with a greeting tag and my card was done.

I was a bit nervous with this colour combnation but I really like how the blending worked out.
