Today I was going through my emails and came across a couple of challenges that were all about coffee and they made me want to have a large cup but since I’ve started this new health kick I’m off caffeine (shock horror) so the next best thing was to make a card with a cup and dream about how delicious it might taste!

I used a retired digital image from Stampin Up called “Perfect Blend – Coffee & Friends ” which I printed directly to scraps of DSP which I then fussy cut out and added to a background piece I made with some ink smooshing on watercolour paper to simulate spilt coffee.
I’m entering this card over at the following challenges:
Thanks for looking and think of me trying to stay strong and not giving in to the coffee urge!

I love the coffee splash and the way you used patterned papers. Great card! I am sad you are going without the lovely brew. Can you do decaf or even chicory ersatz coffee?

Lovely card Tristan. I don’t drink coffee but apparently make a good cup, or so says my hubby –

Lovely card, Tristan! Not a coffee drinker here, but love a hot cup of tea or hot chocolate. 🙂

Well you’ll have to let me know how that health kick goes, Tristan. I can’t imagine leaving coffee behind. Especially first thing in the morning. Love the enormous coffee “stain”. What a way to set the stage! Great use of those bits of DSP for the lid and girdle, too. I can’t help but grin at that wonderful sentiment. After my first (or second) cup, I definitely begin to feel that way. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

A great combination of elements Tristan! I love your coffee background! (Soo realistic!!!) The pieced coffee cup sets it off wonderfully. Such a clever sentiment .. so appropriate! Thanks so much for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week!

Wow, brave girl Tristan. I admire that your were able to give up the brew. But good on you for doing a coffee themed card despite of your lack of caffeine. Good mix of image and papers for this terrific card. Thanks so much for sharing at the Watercooler Wednesday Masculine card challenge this week.
