Calling All Sistahs

Today’s card was inspired by the current challenge over at Calling All Sistahs.

As you may know from previous posts, my mother is currently battling pancreatic cancer, so these challenges are close to my heart and I long for a day that they discover a cure but for my mother it may be too late.

I decided to use a stamp that has been languishing at the back of my stamp collection, Stampin Up’s Swallowtail. I stamped it in Versamark and used a Lindy’s Stamp Gang EP called ‘Angel Wings Gold’. It has a stunning goldish shimmer when you angle the card in the sunshine. I than wet my card front and added some Colour Bursts in Indigo and Orchid. I love using these powders but must admit I struggle to keep myself and my work surface clean when I do so!

My sentiment is from a set by CAS-ual Fridays called ‘Sassy Smiles’ and I hope it encourages my mum to continue to be strong.
Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Hey there! I’m a card-making enthusiast with a passion for creativity that knows no bounds. Currently, I’m fortunate to be a part of four fantastic international card design teams, where I get to explore my craft and connect with fellow artists from all corners of the globe. It’s amazing how the world of card making can bring people together, and I’m constantly inspired by the diversity of styles and ideas that come my way. Beyond my card-making adventures, I lead a pretty busy life in the learning and development field, where I work full time as a Learning Lead. I thrive on helping others grow and reach their full potential, and it’s a role that keeps me on my toes and constantly learning. When I’m not immersed in the world of work or crafting, you can find me on the netball court, coaching and sharing my love for the game with a bunch of amazing individuals. So, whether I’m crafting, guiding professional development, or coaching on the court, I’m all about embracing lifes colorful and creative possibilities! Thanks for stopping by my corner of the web, and I hope you enjoy exploring my card creations and more.

  1. very stunning Tristan. Your Mum will love it… very encouraging. Today is Daffodil Day here in NZ – we donate to Cancer Research and get a daffodil to wear. Having lost MIL and three SIL’s to this insidious disease, I always support this. Sending hugs to your Mum

  2. This is am amazing card. The purple background has so much movement. I love images stamped off the edge and this butterfly works a treat. I don’t think you can stay clean using these powders! I am sure your Mum will smile when she see this. Thanks for joining Calling All Sistahs
