Cold Crafty Day

It’s a cold day here in Melbourne, so I’m happy to be staying inside and getting my craft on!

My first card is for a trio of challenges: Tuesday Morning Sketches and CAS Colours & Sketches and Inkspirational Challenges.

I love the colour scheme and it perfectly matched the Stampin Up ‘Bird Ballad’ DSP. I used a piece of the feather DSP along with the ‘Free as a Bird’ stamp set coloured with my Stampin Blends for this card. There’s a few more layers than I’m used to on my card but I’m happy with how this came out.

This little guy reminds me of the bronze wing doves we see in our garden.

Next is a card for a pair of challenges: Little Red Wagon and Just Us Girls.

To me, summer is all about cocktails on the beach while you’re on holidays, so I went to a favourite set by Tim Holtz called ‘Cocktails Blueprint’ with a sentiment from Taylored Expressions ‘ Simple Strips Background’.

Thirsty anyone?

Next up is a card for The Flower Challenge.

I used a background stamp from the Ton called ‘Cherry blossom garden cling’ which I heat embossed in gold and then water coloured the flowers and leaves. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions ‘Simple Strips Background’.

This one’s going to a good friend of mine that could do with a bit of cheering up.

Lastly is a card for the current Library Challenge.

I knew exactly which stamp set I wanted to use for this challenge – Stampin Up’s ‘Sailing Home’ and coordinating DSP ‘Sailing Away’. Love how easy it is to craft with coordinated products.

I might send this one to my brother, who’s a sailor.

Well, thanks for looking and have a great day.

What a great nautical effect you’ve created on the lighthouse card. The string is perfect and I love the askew layering. Thanks for joining The Library.
