Just Add Ink #754 – Choose 2 – Die Cut/Flower/Ribbon

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great theme for you!

I chose Die Cut/Flower for my card/project. I saw a project by Brenda Quintana making a box using some dies and decided that I could replicate this but using different dies. Can I tell you I wasted about 4 sheets of cardstock trying to get it right but I finally got there!

All the items are from Stampin Up – DSP ‘Bloom Impresions’, ‘Special Moments’ and ‘Flowers of Beauty’ stamp sets and blends in Pumpkin Pie and Grapefruit Grove.

Here are my instructions. I hope you have a go and don’t waste as many piece of cardstock as I did!

AAA Birthday #74 – No Stamping

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!

I love a no stamping challenge, as it makes me use items that I’ve often forgotten about. In this instance I used a new embossing folder from SSS called ‘Drifting Flowers, with some pink tinted tuille and some cut out cupcakes elements from an old DSP. The cardstock is from Stampin Up ‘Melon Mambo.’

AAA Cards #291 – Follow my Lead – Sue Symons

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

I loved everything about Sue’s card so didn’t change up much except for the sentiment and the location of the sentiment. I used an alphabet die for the main word and then a stamp from MFT ‘All About You’ for the you word. Such a classy looking card with that edge of gold embossing.

Just Add Ink #752 – Photo Inspiration

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great photo to inspire you!

This is such a cute card. I was inspired by the flowers on the back of this VW Beetle and the wedding vibe of the photo. I used the largest woman from the Stamp by me ‘Beautiful Inside & Out’ stamp set. I coloured the image using Stampin Blends in Crumb Cake, Seaside Spray, Bubble Bath amd Soft Seafoam. The sentiment is from Stampin Up ‘Charming Sentiments’. Can you see the little bit of netting I’ve added to her hair to look like a bridal veil?

AAA Cards #290 – Anything CAS Birthday Goes

The flag benner in the challenge image inspired be to use some musical notes up the side of my card. I then coloured and popped us the guitar from Stampin Up ‘Enjoy the Rhythm’ with a sentiment from ‘Approaching Perfection’. A nice and simple card for a music lover.

Just Add Ink #750 – Colour Challenge

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great colour theme for you – Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink, Summer Splash and Basic Black.

For the grass part of my card, I used the retired Stampin Up ‘Inspired by Nature’ stamp which was inked in Basic Black. I then sponged the Summer Splash and added little flowers in Peach Pie and Pretty in Pink. The sentiment is from Stampin Up ‘Charming Sentiments’. I added texture to the card base using the Stampin Up ‘Tasteful Textures’ embossing folder.

Hello there, it’s our 6th Birthday over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!

I was inspired by the balloons in our challenge picture, so decided to mimic it. I used a stencil from Studio Katia ‘ Birthday Balloons duo’ which I inked and overlapped using Stampin Up inks in Balmy Blue, Azure Afternoon and Pacific Point. I added a sentiment form CAS-ual Fridays retired stamp set ‘Whole Shebang’.

For my card I chose the 2 greens and the darkest pick. I used an old wave doe from Stampin Up the dark green, the the leaves and rose were made with dies from Altenew ‘Rose layering dies’. The sentiment is from Uniquely Creative.

Just Add Ink #748 – Sketch

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

I made a very simple and monochrome card. I thought tne centre rectabgle on the sketch was perfect for a ribbon. My central sentiment is from Stampin Up ‘Happiest of Birthdays’. I did some layering with black, white and purple cardstock scraps.

Playing with some Challenges

Hello there, I’m on my last day of leave and finally got a chance to play along with a few of my favourite challenges:

I created a geometric background (TMC197) with the MFT Absract Background stamp inked up with Galactic Stream, Teal Cave, Aqualicious and Dew Drops from Altenew in a masked off square pattern, The gentleman rhino is from Karine called ‘Urban Jungle Boy’ and the sentiment is from Katrzelkraft ‘Relax’ (SSS261). The layout of the rhino and sentiment follows the FMS683 challenge.
