Well, this month we have another challenge over at Christmas Craft Creations challenge blog with an optional twist to include Christmas trees.

I have a stamp in my ‘collection’ that I’ve had for years and can’t remember where it’s from but knew it would be perfect for this challenge. I used my distress markers to colour the tree and then lightly spritzed it and stamped it. I then coloured the rest of the stamp with black ink and stamped that without spritzing. I added a bit of sparkle to the baubles and some yellow to the halo of the star, a popped up sentiment and my card was done.

Today I played with my favourite technique – ink smooshing and I made four cards.

First one is for:

I ink smooshed the Kaleidacolor ‘Desert heat’ ink pad on a scallop edge panel and added a sentiment from The Ton ‘ Easy Expressions: Birthday’.

My second card is for:

• Global Design Project #243

I flipped the sketch on it’s side and moved the sentiment to the top. I ink smooshed my Kaleidacolor ‘Vineyard’ ink pad on a scallop edge panel and then stamped the field of poppies from the Stampin Up ‘Painted Poppy’ stamp set and added a sentiment from The Ton ‘Simply Birthdays’ digital set.

My third card is for CASology #369 – Wind.

I ink smooshed my Kaleidacolor ‘Denim’ ink pad on a watercolour panel and then added my die cut windsurfer. and another sentiment from the Ton digital birthday sentiment set.

My last card is for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #161 – I is for Ink.

For this card, I ink smooshed a few Catherine Pooler Design inks in ‘It’s a Girl’, ‘Be Mine’ and “Rose Petal’ on a watercolour panel. I think stamped the unicorn from CAS-ual Fridays ‘ Be a unicorn’ and the sentiment from The Ink Road ‘Zero fucks’.

I’ve been following Nancy Heotker for some time and now she’s in Australia we have become friends as we both have the same Stampin Up up-line. She has created a tutorial for a unique card called a ‘theatre card’. I used some Stampin Up DSP called ‘Flowering Foils’ that I coloured with Pink Pirouette ink and ‘Happy birthday to you’ stamp set.

1st day for winter and boy is it a terrible day. It’s grey, raining and only 10 degrees. I was up early (530 thanks to the cat pawing at my face!), so I started working and now I’m having a well earned break doing a bit of crafting.

I’m playing along with Time Out Challenges #162 – Free and Case this Sketch #374.

I had a stenciled background in my stash that I thought would pair beautifully with one the dancers from Visible Images ‘Hip hop girls’. I added a it of twine to the top and my card was done. I kept the imagery at the bottom and the sentiment parallel to match the sketch.

Next is a card for Seize the Birthday #191 – Totally Tropical.

I decided use the Timeless Tropical stamp set and matching DSP for my card.

I can’t believe we are at the end of May already – where is this year going? I also can’t believe that I have been in ISO and social distancing for 12 weeks – yikes – I think I might be starting to get used to it too – well some aspects like wearing trackies all day every day! Ok, on to my cards.

First up is a card for Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge – Smile.

I used a couple of elements from the Stampin Up ‘Share Sunshine’ COVID-19 digital PDF. I loved the martini and matching sentiment – it made me smile.

I’ve been having fun playing with a technique called ‘scrappy strips’ invented by Bruno Bertucci and I made a really big scrappy strip panel that I was able to create 3 cards from. I used Stampin Up DSP called ‘Forever Greenery’ and stamps and dies called ‘Forever Fern’ that you’ll be able to buy next week!

The first card is for Just Us Girls #538 and Global Design Project #242.

Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I decided to play with the sketch this fortnight. I used a stamp set from Stampin Up ‘Mountain Air’ where you can use both sides of the stamp to form your image. I stamped the mountains and trees then used a stitched frame die and decided to pop the centre panel up. I added a sentiment from a digital stamp from The Ton and my card was done!

Today, I decided to play with a few challenges all about gardens, plants and flowers.

Hello there, it’s time for another Fusion Challenge and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I was inspired by the sketch and wanted to create a card with a floral image popping out from under a sparkly panel. I used a new to me stamp set from Altenew called ‘Paint-a-Flower: Rose’. I stamped the large floral image and coloured it with my Stampin Blends and then added a piece of super sparkly pink glitter paper along the edge.
