CAS Mix Up – January 2020 – Guest Designer

Hello there, today I am a guess designer over on the CAS Mix Up challenge blog as I was the top pick for October.

This month the January challenge wants you to use partial die-cutting + stamping + your choice on your card.

For my card I used a cute little hedgehog stamp from Simon Says Stamp which I partially die cut a circle die around him as a highlight. I then added a few alcohol marker coloured oak leaves around the edges.

Always Fun Challenges #143 – ‘New Year’ Challenge

I created a sponged background with my distress oxides and then stamped some fireworks images from The Ton called ‘Pyrotechnics’ along with a stencil from TCW.

Challenge Me a Christmas Card

I’m thrilled to have been asked by Michelle Lupton to join her in her Challenge Me a Christmas Card series. 

Michelle has asked lots of friends in blogland to challenge her to make a card using, for example, a specific theme, technique or product, etc., and for each of us to also share a card.  Michelle has had some big names from the crafting community joining her this month, so to be asked to take part is an absolute honour!

The theme I chose for Michelle was ‘Trees’.  I love Christmas trees – especially when I get to set ours up and decorate it with Miss K – we have so much fun decorating and watching Christmas movies while we do it. My cards are below and you can click here to see what Michelle created. 

I got a little bit carried away with this challenge and ended up making 4 cards! Firstly I covered a card base with 4 types of green washi tape. Then I used 4 different dies to cut out 4 types of trees.

WWC #252 – Marsha’s Special 3 week ‘Anything Goes’ Challenge

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Marsha is our host with a special 3 week anything goes challenge!

I have a BBQ to go to with my work colleagues so decided to make little treat holders as gifts for them. I created the boxes with a tutorial I had seen on YouTube and then used some SU gingham DSP and some Christmas items I had in my stash.

Each one holds 4 Lindt balls.

I had to restrain myself for doing a bit of taste testing whilst making these, as I adore Lindt balls!

Sweet Stampin’ Christmas – December – Optional twist – Critters

Well, this month we have another challenge over at Sweet Stampin’ Christmas challenge blog with an optional twist to add critters to your card..

I sponged some clouds into a card panel and popped up my little reindeer that I coloured with my Stampin Blends and added a sentiment from The Ton.

The clouds sort of look like snow drifts.

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Helen is our host with feminine anything goes challenge this week!

For this challenge, I created a little calendar gift using some Stampin Up Woven Threads DSP, a few chipboard sticker elements I had in my stash and a 2020 calendar. I’m going to make more of these and as it fits nicely into an A5 envelope so I can still post it to some friends along with their Christmas cards.
