AAA Cards #256 – Sketch

Hello there, it’s time for our first 2024 challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great sketch for you!

I haven’t created a bokeh background in a very long time and decided to get a start on my 2024 Christmas card stash as I don’t want to leave it to the last moment like I did last year! I created my sponged background using Stampin Up inks in Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow. I then sponged my bokeh dots with Whisper White ink. The sentiment is one from Uniquely Creative.

AAA Cards #255 – Sketch and Cold

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you! This is our last challenge for 2023 so it will run for longer than usual.

I seem to be on a role with making cards with no stamping on them lately. For this card I used a Christmas light die which I die cut from 3 different blue glitter papers. The sentiment is die cut from black cardstock.

AAA Cards #254 – Black, White & Gold

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great colour theme for you!

I love this colour combo – so classy!

For my card I used a new stamp set from Stampin Up called ‘Friendship Royalty’ that I heat embossed with gold embossing powder, popped the black panel up on some glittery gold card stock and then onto a white card base.

AAA Cards #253 – Fall/Leaves

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

I was hard for me to think about fall colours as we are well and truely into Spring here in Australia. Having said that I knew I had the perfect crafty bundle from Stampin Up ‘Beautiy of Friendship’ stamps, dies and matching DSP for my card. I did a bit of ink sponging on the leaf part of my tree with some Old Olive ink just to darken them a bit.

AAA Birthday #55 – Large Sentiment

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!

I love the idea of making my sentiment the hero of my card. I used a birthday die to cut background and then the letters from some Stamin Up DSP ‘Favoured Flowers’ which I popped up over a couple of fussy cut DSP flowers and layers of Grapefruit Grove and Strawberry Slush cardstock on a white card base. I added a few glittery dots to fill some gaps and my card was done!

AAA Cards #252 – Colour Scheme

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great colour theme for you!

As we’re approaching Christmas, I’m in desperate need of Christmas cards, so I went to my all time favourite Christmas tree stamp from Altenew ‘Sketched Evergreen’ and my Stampin Up inks in Tahitian Tide, Pacific Point and Night of Navy. Can I just say that I love making Christmas cards in non-traditional colours. If you look really closely, you might see some sparkle that I added to the sentiment.

AAA Cards #251 – Anything Spooky Goes

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

I don’t have many images for Halloween as it’s not something we send cards for here in Australia; but I do have a cute set from Simon Says Stamp called ‘If the hat fits’. So I stamoed one of the hats and coloured it with my Stampin Blends in Pumkin Pie and Rich Razzelberry and popped it onto of a panel sponged with Granny Apple Green ink.

AAA Birthday #54 – Favourite Colours

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!

I love a good rainbow coloured card and thought I’d use a new to me die set of different styles of diamonds to cau a series of rainbow elements which I attached to a panel on my card base than I added a sentiment from Uniquely Creative. It was such a quick and easy card to make and all the bright colours make me happy!

AAA Cards #250 – Inkblending – 3 or more colours

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

I love a bit of ink blending as it looks so stunning for very little effort! I used Altenew inks in Ultraviolet, Deep iris and Puffy heart to sponge my rectangle panel. I then added a die cut sentiment across the centre and my card was done!

AAA Cards #249 – Skies, Galaxies, Planets & a DT Call

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

Usually when I hear the word galaxies, I think of a solid looking sky sponged background, but this being a CAS challenge, i had to think a bit differently. I went through my stamp stashknowing I had a stamp set that woould help me keep my card CAS. I found my Concord & 9th ‘Globe Greetings’stamp set. I gold heat embossed the globe base and white heat embossed the sentiment on a punched black circle. I then punches aseries of little flowers and leaves to form the blooms on the side of my globe.
