AAA Christmas #1 – Traditional Christmas

Hello there! I’m VERY excited to share something brand new with you today – welcome to the very first AAA Christmas Challenge!

If you love making Christmas cards (and really, is there such a thing as having too many ready for December?), then this is the challenge for you.

And because Christmas Day falls on the 25th, that’s exactly when you’ll find a brand new AAA Christmas Challenge going live each month.

That means a little dose of Christmas creativity ALL YEAR ROUND!

I made a Dutch door fold card using traditional Christmas colours on my card. The die is one I’ve had for ever so unfortunately I can’t remember where it’s from but the DSP (Timeless Christmas) and card stock (Black and Peaceful Pine) are from Stampin Up.

Here’s how the Dutch door came together:

  • Basic Black
  • 14.9 x 10.5cm – fold in half for card base
  • Cut down the fold line 8.9cm – leave 6cm at the bottom
  • Cut a piece 8 x 12cm to die cut the tree outline
  • Peaceful Pine
  • Cut a piece 8 x 10cm for the die cut sentiment on the front panel
  • Whisper White
  • Cut a piece 8 x 12cm for the tree outline inside the card
  • DSP
  • 14.4 x 10cm for the inside of the card
  • 5.5 x 10cm for the front bottom panel

Now it’s your turn! Come and join us for our very first challenge. Check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the AAA Christmas Design Team, get those Christmas supplies out and show us how the challenge inspires you.

New challenge. Every month. On the 25th. Just like Christmas Day!

We’d absolutely love to have you join us and, bonus, you’ll be building that Christmas card stash long before December rolls around!

Thanks for stopping by for a look, and I can’t wait to see what you create.

Happy Christmas crafting!
