Beyond my card-making adventures, I lead a pretty busy life in the learning and development field, where I work full time as a Learning Lead. AAA Cards #256 – Sketch

Hello there, it’s time for our first 2024 challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great sketch for you!

I haven’t created a bokeh background in a very long time and decided to get a start on my 2024 Christmas card stash as I don’t want to leave it to the last moment like I did last year! I created my sponged background using Stampin Up inks in Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow. I then sponged my bokeh dots with Whisper White ink. The sentiment is one from Uniquely Creative.

AAA Birthday #57 – Rainbow or Rainbow Colours

And who doesn’t like rainbow colours right? For my card I created a rainbow striped panel from paper scraps which I die cut with my sentiment die which I then receased into a panel covered with die cut balloons.

Just Add Ink #684 Just Add Traditional Christmas Colours

Hello there, it’s time for our last challenge for the year at Just Add Ink and do we have a great final theme for you!

For my card I used some Stampin Up Lights a glow DSP (retired). I love the bokeh red and green panels. I added some gold glittery cardstock separating the 2 panels and the stamped some pine needles and berries from the Ton ‘Outline Holiday Cones’ under my sentiment which is from the Stampin Up ‘Perfectly Plaid’ stamp set (retired).

Sketch Saturday #741 Opt Birthday Theme

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you! This is our last challenge for the year so it won’t be closing till mid January 2024 to give us DT members a break over the festive season.

I’m still in need of Christmas cards, so I didn’t take up the optional theme of birthday. On my card I used some old Stampin Up DSP ‘Lights a glow’ which I cut in to the various sketch shapes. The sentiment is from the Stampin Up ‘Perfectly Plaid’ stamp set which I popped up over some gold thread.

AAA Cards #255 – Sketch and Cold

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you! This is our last challenge for 2023 so it will run for longer than usual.

I seem to be on a role with making cards with no stamping on them lately. For this card I used a Christmas light die which I die cut from 3 different blue glitter papers. The sentiment is die cut from black cardstock.

Just Add Ink #682

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

This sketch was perfect for another Christmas card to add to the 110 needed this year! I embossed the background green panel with a Sizzix ‘Mosiac tile’ folder, staped and heat embossed with iridescent power a snow flake from the Stampin Up “Festive flurry’ stamp set (retired) and popped it up over some silver DSP. The sentiment is from a cut-apart set by Uniquely Creative.

Sketch Saturday #740 – Opt make a second card with a mirror image of the sketch

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

This card is adding to my Christmas card stash. I cut 3 strips in silver, green and red; attached them to a white panel which I then die cut with a crinkle edged die and popped the panel up on a white card base along with a die cut sentiment.

I love making tags and think they look super cute on a card. After making this tag/card I realised that there is absolutely NO STAMPING on it. I die cute the tag, hearts and sentiment which I popped up over some scrap DSP on a whote card base.

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great colour theme for you!

I love this colour combo – so classy!

For my card I used a new stamp set from Stampin Up called ‘Friendship Royalty’ that I heat embossed with gold embossing powder, popped the black panel up on some glittery gold card stock and then onto a white card base.
