AAA Cards #251 – Anything Spooky Goes

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

I don’t have many images for Halloween as it’s not something we send cards for here in Australia; but I do have a cute set from Simon Says Stamp called ‘If the hat fits’. So I stamoed one of the hats and coloured it with my Stampin Blends in Pumkin Pie and Rich Razzelberry and popped it onto of a panel sponged with Granny Apple Green ink.

Come join in the fun; we’d love to see how you were inspired. Check out the projects that the other artists at AAA Cards have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Saturday, 28th October to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Challenge Crafting

I’ve had another chance to get crafty with some card making challenges this weekend.

First up is a Christmas card for:

I kept this card pretty CASE. I die cut a snowflake from my white card panel and popped it up over some hot pink card stock which shone threw the snowflake. The sentiment is from Uniquely Creative.

Next is another Christmas card for:

I used one of Tim Holzt ‘Crazy Dogs’ which I loosely watercoloured and then fussy cut out. I also stamped the Santa hat from the ‘Crazy Things’ stamp set. I popped my dog up on some old flocked specialty paper and added a snarky sentiment.

My third card is a birthday card for:

I love this colour combo as it includes my favourite colour – green! I stamped a few of the different brush strokes from the PTI ‘Watercolor Wonder’ stamp set in Stampin Up Lemon Lime Twist and Magenta Madness. I then added a die cut sentiment and some coloured enamel dots.

My last card is a sympathy card for:

I made a cascading fancy fold card using Stampun Up Symbols of Fortune DSP and Crane of Fortune dies. The sentiments are from Stampin Up ‘Sending Support’. I don’t have the Color my Heart colours but think the SU Smokey Slate matches the Mink, Evening Evergreen matches the Journey and the Pink Pirouette ribbon matches the Ballerina.

Thanks it for today. Thanks for stopping by for a look. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Just Add Ink #674 – Just Add Colour

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great colour theme for you!

I love this colour combo. I decided to stamp the flower from Concord & 9th ‘Hello Lovely’ stamp set on white and craft cardstock. I coloured the flower on the white card panel with my Stampin Blends (substituting Lovely Lipstick for Berry Burst) I then cut the two panels diagonally and joined them together, so I have a mix and match look. I heat embossed my sentiment from Cas-ual Fridays ‘Whole Shebang’ on some shiny gold cardstock. This I placed across the join of the two floral panels.

Come join in the fun; we’d love to see how you were inspired. Check out the projects that the other artists at Just Add Ink have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 18th October at 7pm (AEST) Australian Eastern Standard Time to link up your project.

Sketch Saturday #736 Opt use string or twine

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

I decided to flip this sketch vertically. I added some old Stampin Up glitter paper for the background strip, then a banner from some old Christmas DSP. The sentiment is a chipboard element from my stash and a bit of twine is attaching the Christmas lights to my sentiment.

Come join in the fun; we’d love to see how you were inspired. AAA Birthday #54 – Favourite Colours

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!

I love a good rainbow coloured card and thought I’d use a new to me die set of different styles of diamonds to cau a series of rainbow elements which I attached to a panel on my card base than I added a sentiment from Uniquely Creative. It was such a quick and easy card to make and all the bright colours make me happy!

AAA Cards #250 – Inkblending – 3 or more colours

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

I love a bit of ink blending as it looks so stunning for very little effort! I used Altenew inks in Ultraviolet, Deep iris and Puffy heart to sponge my rectangle panel. I then added a die cut sentiment across the centre and my card was done!

CASE Me a Christmas Card – Blog Hop for Michelle Lupton

It’s a SURPRISE Party! @michelle_lupton is taking a break from running her CASE me a Christmas Card event this year, but we love it so much we wanted to play anyway.

So, we thought it would be fun to have an Instagram Party, and when it comes to parties, the more the merrier! We would love you to join us and make some new friends along the way.

Simply CASE one of Michelle’s cards into a Christmas card and use the hashtag #casemeachristmascard2023. What does CASE mean… ‘Copy & Share Everything’. Simply choose one of Michelle’s beautiful cards and be inspired, change it up and make it your own.

I was inspired by the layout and the rainbow sponging behind the die cut panel on this card of Michelle’s.

I flipped my design to be horizontal, then I sponged my rainbow using Altenew Inks, die cut an angel from my top panel and popped up a sentiment from Uniquely creative. I love how when you CASE another designer’s card, the inspiration flows and your card comes together super quickly.

Follow #casemeachristmascard2023 to meet some new friends and see how we were all inspired by Michelle too! . .

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you join in our hop.

Playing with more challenges

We have a public holiday here in Melbourne for pre-AFL Grand Final day activities; so what else is a gal to do but get crafty with some more challenges of course!

My first card is for two challenges:

I had a snow globe die in my collection and I decided to make a shaker card. I die cut the globe from some white cardstock first and then added a gold layer on top, sponged some grass and sky on the background panel. I die cut Santa and his reindeer and put them inside the globe along with some gold seed beads, attached a sentiment to the front with some gold thread and my card was done.

Next up is a card for Colour INKspiration #152. I love these colours, they’re so classy together.

Some months ago I bought some masks from Stampin Up but hadn’t played with them till now. First I sponged the butterfly base in Starry Sky, then I sponged Night of Navy ontop with the floral mask. I sponged another floral mask on the card base in Gray Granite. The sentiment is from SU Special Moments’.

My third card is for TGIF Challenges #439.

I made my DSP the hero of this card, using the Stampin Up ‘ Gone Fishing’ DSP and matching stamp set.

My fourth card is for Merry Little Christmas Challenge #52. This is an ATG challenge which I love as I can let my creative juices take me where they go!

I used some more DSP from Stampin Up, this time from the Bright Bold & Merry collection. Lots of layers but the coordinations been done for me so the layers work well.

My last card is for a challenge I’m playing with for the first time – Retro Rubber Challenge #216.

I chose the centre horizontal options of pens/pencils, your choice and leaves. I used a stamp set from Stampin Up circa 2008 called ‘Oh so Lovely’ and chose the graphic panel stamp which I coloured with my Stampin Markers (pens) in Certainly Celery and stamped the image 3 times across my base. I then stamped the SSS ‘Beautiful Flowers’ across that green area (leaves on the flowers) and kept my card otherwise monochromatic (my choice).

Well that’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by for a look. Hope you’ve been inspired to get crafty and play along with these challenges.

Just Add Ink #672 Just Add a Sketch

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

For my card I used the Stampin Up split texture die and cut my smaller panel twice with the die facing up and down. I then sponged the panel behind the die with Stampin Up inks in bubble bath, polished pink and melon mambo. I added some rose gold glittery twine and a sentiment from Uniquely Creative and my card was done.

Come join in the fun; we’d love to see how you were inspired. Check out the projects that the other artists at Just Add Ink have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 4th October at 7pm (AEST) Australian Eastern Standard Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

5 cards for 5 challenges!

It feels like it has been forever since I played with some of my favourite challenges. Life has been so busy, with my job, my netball coaching and all things that surround my 16yr old daughter!

Today I’m sharing with you 5 cards for 5 different challenges.

First up is a card for Less is More #492 – C is for Celebrate.

For this card I sponged a section of my cardbase using Stampin Up Tahitian Tide, Bermuda Bay and Pretty Peacock inks. I then stamped the main flower from SSS ‘Beautiful Flowers’ stamp set. I popped up a sentiment and some twine and my card was done.

My second card is for Happy Little Stampers – Birthday.

For this card I used the Stampin Up ‘Around the Bend’ dies which I inked smooshed with Pale Papaya, Flirty Flamingo and Pear Pizzazz inks which I then popped up over a panel of ‘Fine Art Floral’ DSP.

My third card is for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #243 – V is for Vibrant.

I’ve so missed getting my snark on these past few months, so had a lot of fun playing with this challenge. I used a new stamp set from Edgy Stamps ‘Basic Bitch’. I stamped the sentiment on a panel, added a bit of gold edging then coloured the balloons with my neon Zig real brush markers.

My fourth card is for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge #536.

I always love a sketch challenge and this one helped me make a super quick card. I had some rainbow card stock strips in my stash that I stuck together and then punched out with a 2″ circle punch. I popped up a sentiment from Uniquely Creative and my card was done!

My final card is for The Flower Challenge #84 – Use a die.

For my card I die cut my butterfly from some Stampin Up ‘Stargazing’ DSP. This butterfly has flowers in it’s wings so I hope this counts! I added some clear glitter to my die cut for that extra something something.

Well, that’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by for a look. Hope I’ve inspired you to play along with these challenges.
