I decided to flip the sketch vertically and used some DSP from Stampin Up called Greatest Journey which when cut apart was a perfect fit for my sentiment and die cut bike rider.

AAA Cards #244 – Dogs/Puppies

I used one of the cutest stamps sets from Colorado Craft Company called ‘Watch This’ that I coloured with my Stampin Blends and then fussy cut out. I think this is perfect for a masculine card.

Just Add Ink #660 – Just Add a Die Cut Inlay

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great theme for you!

This card came together pretty quickly as I went to my stash of scraps and already coloured flowers. The flowers are from a SU DSP called ‘True Love’ which I’d coloured with my STampin Blends. I die cut the work happy with an onld alphabet die and then popped up the card base but left the ‘happy’ lowered. This is such a cool technique but I think next time I’d go with a slightly larger font die as this was super fiddly!

CAS Colours & Sketches #515

Hello there. For the next 3 months I’m playing along as Guest Designer over at CAS Colours & Sketches and do we have a great colour challenge for you!

For my card I used the paper Roses ‘leafy circle’ die nd did a bit of paper piercing. The sentiment is I created on my PC. It was a simple card to make but I think the simplicity makes it stunning.

For the sketch stripes on my card I used a bone folder to score the lines and then added a flower from the Stampin Up Petal Passion DSP that I coloured with Parakeet Party and Bubble Bath inks.

AAA Cards #243 – Outdoor Activity

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

I was in need of a card for my nephew who’s a keen surfer, so it was perfect timining with this challenge inspiration. I used a digital surfer image and did some ink blending for the water. I then added some white gesso to look like the foam beneath the surfboard and a sentiment from my PC.

Just Add Ink #658 – Just Choose Two – scraps/strips/sequins

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great theme for you!

I love it when I can use up some scraps on a card, so I went with scraps & strips. I had a lot of different black and white DSP scraps that I cut into strips. I then added a couple of butterflies I fussy cut from some old Stampin Up DSP ‘Botanical Butterflies’ and a sentiment from the ‘Approaching Perfection’ stampset.

I decided to flip the sketch vertically. and not go with the optional theme. I used some scrap black and white DSP for my panel behind the frame and some peach coloured flowers from my stash. This was a super quick card to make, but I think it looks pretty good.

AAA Cards #242 – Everything Beach

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

I love the bathing boxes and the colours in this moodboard, so chose a digital image of some bathing boxes, printed them across the bottom of my card and then stamped one of the brush strokes from the PTI stamp set ‘Watercolor Wonder’ in Stampi Up inks Azure Afternoon, Pumpkin Pie and Wild Wheat. The sentiment is from Apple Blossom ‘Summer Holiday’ which came with a craft mgazine.
