WWC #332 – Tristan’s Challenge: All Things Feminine

Hello there, it’s time for our first Watercooler Wednesday Challenge for 2022 and I’m our host with a feminine challenge this fortnight!

My card today is using a brand new stamp from Stampin Up called ‘Mischievous Mice’ that you can get in the new Jan-June 2022 catalogue. I coloured her with my Stampin Blends then fussy cut her out and popped her ontop of some die cut clouds. The sentiment is from a new stamp set ‘Special Moments’ that you can get during Stampin Up’s Sale-a-bration from 4th Jan to 28th Feb if you spend more than $90 AUD.

Come join in the fun and make a feminine card. Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Tuesday, 17th January at 9:00 Melbourne Time or Monday 16th January 5pm US Mountain Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Craft Roulette #93 – ft Bitty Penny

It’s a New Years Day crafting following along with a New Years Eve Craft Roulette with Mary Gunn Funn and Bitty Penny.

I’m inside trying to keep cool on this 39 degree New Years Day and managed to catch Mary and Bitty live.

My card came together super fast. I used a Kaleidacolor ink pad ‘Blue Breeze’ to create my ink smooshed blue/p[urple background which I mounted on some silver cardstock. I then stamped the supercute mounse from Stampin Up ‘Mischievous Mice’ and had him writing the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp ‘Birthday Bits’. I coloured the mouse with SU Crumb Cake. I then scored some lines and stuck down a potion of the card edge to form the book binding look and I was done!

Well thanks for looking and Happy New Year to you and yours.

WWC #331 – Marsha’s Special 3 Week Challenge – Anything Goes!

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Marsha is our host with a special 3 week challenge to finish up the year!

I decided to make a 3D project – a 2022 calendar that can sit nicely on a desk. I stamped the panels using the Stampin Up ‘Hand-Penned Petals’ stamp set.

Come join in the fun and make a card of your choosing. Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us. Just Add Ink #584 – Gift card holder/tag

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great theme for you for our last challenge of the year!

This challenge theme came at the perfect time as I needed to make a number of holders for gift cards I’d bought for various nieces and nephews.

Last year I’d bought the cutest little tins from Stampin Up but had done nothing with them, so decided to decorate them and then use them to hold a concertina style card which I attached the gift cards to.

WWC #330 – Heidi’s Challenge: All About Occasions

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Heidi is our host with an all about occasions challenge this fortnight!

I’m in desperate need of Christmas cards so chose that as my occasion for this challenge. I played with some Stampin Up DSP ‘Expressions of Ink’ and 2 trees from the ‘Whimsical Trees’ die set. The sentiment is from Uniquely Creative. My suite of cards was inspired by Su Mohr.

I ended up making a set of 8 cards, so here are the other 7!

Come join in the fun and make a card for an occasion of your choosing. Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. Craft Roulette #89 with Sandy Boone

I managed to catch this week’s Craft Roulette #89 session live.

Wowsers, loved the options and came up with a card pretty quickly.

  • Project – I created a swivel card
  • Colours – I used a Stampin Up DSP with beautiful deep colours
  • Element – Big Happy Birthday stamp
  • Random – The DSP runs along the bottom (is this enough?)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Just Add Ink #582

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great inspiration photo for you!

I was inspired by blackboard and the stockings hanging from the fireplace mantle. I created a z fold card, with blackboard looking background, a middle panel that looks like the fireplace mantle and then I stamped a few of the mice in stockings from the Hello Bluebird set ‘Joyful mouse’.

Fusion: White Christmas

Hello there, it’s time for our last Fusion Challenge for 2021 and do we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I was inspired by the sketch and followed the theme of Christmas for my card. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder called ‘Numbers’ for my Stampin Up old olive background. I then die cut a series of Christmas lights from Stampin Up Cherry Cobler, Real Red and Poppy Parade cardstock and popped them up in the corner in place of the sketch circles. I opted for no sentiment as I wanted the embossed numbers to indicate the sentiment.

Come join in the fun and make a card based on the sketch, inspiration photo or fuse them together and play with both! Check out the projects that the other artists at Fusion have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 9th December at 7pm Melbourne Time or Tuesday 8th December 12pm US Pacific Time to link up your project.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Craft Roulette #88 with Allison Cope

I missed the live for this week’s Craft Roulette #88 but caught it on reply this morning.

Wowsers, what interesting and challenging options did the wheel throw up this time! Thanks to Mary for explaining a number of the options as I’d never hear of cornucopia or retiform!

  • Project – I used DSP from Stampin Up
  • Colours – The colours of the DSP look like a pretty basket of fruit
  • Element – I added the word celebrate
  • Random – I chopped the DSP into a variety of shapes and added washi tape across all the joins

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

WWC #329 – Cathy’s Challenge: All Things Masculine

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Cathy is our host with a masculine challenge this fortnight!

I recently got the new collection of Catherine Pooler Design inks and knew that 3 of them would be perfect for a masculine card. I used Dress Blues, Uptown and Martini with the PTI ‘Watercolor Wonder’ stamp set and a sentiment from the Stampin Up ‘Biggest Wish’ stamp set.

Aren’t these colours wonderfully vibrant?

Come join in the fun and make a masculine card.
