I was so inspired when I saw this sketch that I just started created before I remembered we had an option to add a tag or use a tag on my card. AAA Cards #280 – Sketch

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

This was a fun sketch that lends itself to any type of card. I sponged my panel using Stampin Up inks in Coastal Cabana, Summer Splash and Bermuda Bay. I then stamped 16th three times and the birthday sentiment from the CTMH set ‘Birthday Times’. This card is for my nephew who’s turning 16 this year.

Just Add Ink #731 – Inspiration Photo

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great inspiration photo for you!

I was inspired by the writing and colour on the cushion, the sparkly gold twinkle lights and the white bed linen. My card base is Stampin Up Basic Beige, with a white card panel where I distressed the edges. I then die cut the letters from Cherry Cobler cardstock and some sparkly gold paper.

Did you sing he words as you looked at my card?

AAA Birthday #68 – Levely Layers

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!

I used a new stamp set with matching dies and DSP from Stampin Up ‘Regal Flora’. I stamped the flowers and leaves in Cherry Cobler, Blackberry Bliss, Berry Burst, Shaded Spruce and Wild Wheat, then die cut them out before layering over my DSP panel and white base that I embossed.

This will be a perfect birthday card for my mother-in-law.

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge andas it’s the 5th Saturday in the month, it’s pick from the archives!

I’ve chosen Sketch #1 from July 2010.

I hope all my Christmas cards are inspiring you. This one uses some fabulous DSP from Stampin Up ‘Sentimental Christmas’ added on top of some Pear Pizzazz card stock and a Barely Beige card base. The sentiment circles are from a Uniquely Creative cut apart.

AAA Cards #279 – Anything CAS Goes – opt Christmas/Winter

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

I used my sentiment and Christmas mouse in place of the sketch bauble lements. I use the ‘Joyful Mouse’ stampset from Hello Bluebird coloured with my Stampin Blends and adding a little bit of puffy paint to the Santa hat. I added a little bit of glimmer to my main sentiment just to give it a little bit extra pop.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Just Add Ink #729 – Just Add Colour

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great colour theme for you!

Colour challenges are the most difficult ones for me, so I had to think hard for this one. As there were 4 colours, I was able to use a multi-layer floral die that I’ve had since forever. I added some diamentes to the flower stamens and its popped up on some white glitter paper (not sure you can see this in the photo) and added a sentiment from a Uniquely Creative cut-apart.

Case Me a Christmas Card with Michelle Lupton

I’m thrilled to have been asked by Michelle Lupton to join her in her Case Me a Christmas Card series again this year.

Michelle has asked lots of friends in blogland to CASE one of her cards and make it with a Christmas twist and she in turn will CASE one of our cards. This is my 4th year playing along and its heaps of fun. For her challenge this year, I chose this sweet card she made back in July this year.

I was inspired by the layout with the scallop layers and the single focal image in the centre. All items on my card are from Stampin Up. The tree and baubles are form the Whimsical Trees stamp set, the sentiment from the Greetings from Satna stamp set. Cardstock is Garden Green, Granny Apple Green and Bright White and the inks are Certainly Celery, Old Olive and Basic Black.

What do you think? Did I capture the essence of Michelle’s card while still making it mine?

If you’d like to see which card of mine Michelle CASEd and her interpretation, click this here.

Well thanks for stopping by for a look and I hope we’ve inspired you to think about taking inspiration from and CASEing a fellow crafter!

Sketch Saturday #764 – Opt distress something on your card

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and do we have a great sketch and optional twist for you!

Again, I’m adding to my Christmas card stash with a card using an adorable elf from the MFT ‘Santa’s Elves’ stamp set that I’ve coloured with my Stampin Blends and cut out with the matching dies. I added some puffy paint to the hat and sleeves and popped him up over from black and white diagonal DSP.

As you can see, you don’t have to use the shapes from the sketch – I’ve replaced the circles with a tree, a present and the efl.

Come join in the fun; we’d love to see how you were inspired. Check out the projects that the other artists at Sketch Saturday have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us. AAA Cards #278 – Sketch

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA C ards and do we have a great sketch for you!

I really loved the sketch so kept to the 3 squares. I masked off the shapes and then clear heat embossed the snowflakes from the Kandan ‘Reindeer & Snowflakes’ stamp set. The sentiment is from Uniko Studios ‘Rustic Christmas’ and I used distress inks from Tim Holtz in Weathered Wood, Iced Spruce and Stormy Sky.
