AAA Birthday #45 – Anything Birthday Goes

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!

I made a birthday card for my daughter’s boyfriend. He’s turning 16 at the end of the month and loves basketball. I used a variety of digital basketball silhouettes from Etsy by Manelheaven on a fancy fold card base (following this tutorial) with a sentiment I made on my PC.

Just Add Ink #635 – Inspiration Photo

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great theme for you!

I was inspired by the colours in the photo and the hanging ball chains. I decided to make a fancy fold card called a Mirror Fold, following a tutorial from The Artful Inker. I used all Stampin Up products for my card. The card base was Shaded Spruce, the DSP was Lights Aglow and the stamp sets were Whimsical Trees and Watercolour Christmas. I added a belly band to hold the card together when being posted and a bit of gold thread for that extra bit of sparkle.

The front of the card all closed up!
The card opened up – you can see the pretty DSP and stamping.

AAA Cards #230 – Moodboard

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

I was inspired by the purple colours and the Christmas images in the photo. I used the Altenew ‘Stitched Evergreen’ stamp set inked up in Andromeda, Ultrviolet and Hydrangea inks. I did a little bit of fussy cutting along the edge and popped the panel over a bit of gold cardstock.

Just Add Ink #633 – Colour Combo

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great colour combo for you!

How cute is this combo? I used the Sweet Sorbet as my main colour with my cardbase and stamping of the SU En Francais and light sponging. I then added small slithers of the Basic Grey and Bermuda Bay under the font panel. To create a bit of pop, I stamped and fussy cut out the main flower from the SSS “Beautiful Flowers’ stamp set and kept it black and white.

Case Me a Christmas Card with Michelle Lupton

I’m thrilled to have been asked by Michelle Lupton to join her in her Case Me a Christmas Card series again this year.

Michelle has asked lots of friends in blogland to CASE one of her cards and make it with a Christmas twist and she in turn will CASE one of our cards.   I played along last year which was heaps of fun. For her challenge this year, I chose this adorable card she made back in July 2022.

I was inspireed by the layout, the rainbow cloud sponging and the cute penguin above her sentiment.

I sponged my rainbow clouds using Stampin Up inks in Highland Heather, Tahitian Tide, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Polished Pink. I coloured and fussy cut the super cute Christmas dog from the Colorado Craft Company stamp set ‘Christmas Hats’ and added a Stampin Up sentiment from ‘Mistletoe Magic’.

Well thanks for stopping by for a look and I hope we’ve inspired you to think about taking inspiration from and CASEing a fellow crafter!

AAA Cards #229 – Small & Few opt Baked Goods

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

Isn’t this a tasty challenge? I used a stamp set from Stampin Up called ‘Birthday Goodness’. I did a bit of masking so that I could sponge a side panel to help highlight my pile of donuts before I coloured them with my Stampin Blends.

Fusion: Christmas Chalkboard

Hello there, it is with a heavy heart that I tell you this will be the last time Fusion Challenge. Like many, the past 2 years have been tough on all involved in the challenge and we’ve decided that it is time to take time out for ourselves. We’ve had so much fun creating cards to inspire you all to play along with us. We hope you’ll play along this one last time as we have a great sketch and inspirational photo for you!

I decided to fuse the sketch and photo for my card. I used some checkered DSP for my background, stamped and heat embossed in white my sentiment from KaiserKraft ‘Fa La La’ then added some holly from the Stampin Up ‘Mistletoe Magic’ stamp set that I coloured with my Stampin Blends.

Come join in the fun and make a card based on the sketch, inspiration photo or fuse them together and play with both! Check out the projects that the other artists at Fusion have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 8th December at 7pm Melbourne Time or Tuesday 7th December 12pm US Pacific Time to link up your project.

Just Add Ink #631 – Sketch

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

What a cool sketch. Being November, it’s all about needing Christmas cards for me, so I went to my scrap stash of Christmas DSP and die cut some pieces to form the wave shape. I then stamped the sentiment from Stampin Up ‘Dove of Hope’ and die cut that with a postage stamp die. Popped it up over some gold thread and my card was done.

Come join in the fun; we’d love to see how you were inspired. Check out the projects that the other artists at Just Add Ink have created, take the challenge and link your creation to the challenge post. We’d love to have you join us.  You have until Wednesday, 30th November at 7pm (AEST) Australian Eastern Standard Time to link up your project.
