AAA Cards #270 Sketch

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great sketch for you!

I loved the look of the blue banner, so decided to use that on my card, sponging Pacific Point and Starry Sky inks from Stampin Up. I stamped, coloured and fussy cut a cute little platypus from the Uniquely Cretive – You’re Weird stamp set. I added some crystal lacquer to the goggles and then created some air bubbles from the snorkle.

For those that may not know, the platypus is a duck-billed, beaver-tailed, otter-footed, egg-laying aquatic creature native to Australia.

Just Add Ink #711 – Inspiration Photo

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great inspiration photo for you!

I was inspired by the Christmas feel and the colours in the photo along with the puffiness of the marshmallows.

I created a scalloped background (MFT) that gave the feel of Christmas garlands with baubles (I added some red gems). I stamped, coloured and cut out a Christmas elf (MFT Santa’s Elves) and layered it all on white, red and green cardstock.

Do you think the puffy paint n the hat looks like marshmallow fluff?

Sketch Saturday #755 opt twist Christmas in July

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

I went with the optional twsist for my card as I felt the middle of the sketch looked like a Christmas tree. I used some old Stampin up DSP ‘Lights a glow’ along with a die from the ‘Winter Woods’ set and a pre-printed sentiment from Uniquely Creative.

Don’t you love it when you make a card with absolutely no stamping on it?!

AAA Cards #269 – ATG CAS opt twist Summer (colours)

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great theme for you!

I went with the optional twist of summer colours, which to me are shades of sunset yellows and oranges. So I sponged a strip in the centre of my card, then stamped a flower from the Stampin Up ‘Flowers of Beauty’ stamp set in black to look like a silhouette. The sentiment is from Close to my Heart ‘Birthday Time’.

Just Add Ink #709 – Colour Challenge

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great colour challenge for you – you can choose 3 or play with all 6 colours!

I opted to use 3 of the colours – orgeous Grape, Azure Afternoon and Misty Moonlight. Combined they said I needed to make a night sky, which is perfect for a dark looking Christmas card. I sponged the coloursonto my card base, did some water splatters that look like falling snow. I used 2 Stampin Up sets – Winter Woods and Watercolor Christmas.

I love how this looks, all dark and moody!

AAA Birthday #63 – Fabulous Flowers

Hello there, it’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and do we have a great theme for you!

This is one of my favourite themes for the year, as I love making cards with flowers on them. For my card, I used the ‘True Beauty’ stamp set and matching dies inked up in Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz and Petal Pink from Stampin Up. I also used SU markers in Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo and Pear Pizzazz to provide some depth to the flowers and leaves. My card base is made from Basic Beige cardstock with a camouflage stamped Basic Beige panel. I die cut a Petal Pink panel to look like lace to place behind my flowers and leaves.

The winter light makes the petal pick look more apricot, but I think it still looks pretty.

Sketch Saturday #754 – 5th Saturday – Pick from the archives

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and being the 5th Saturday in the month, we ask you to delve back into our sketch archives and pick a sketch that speaks to you!

For my card, I went back to June 2020 for Sketch #615. I had a strip of DSP in my scrap bin which was perfect for this sketch. I paired it with other colours from the DSP to create my layers. For the circle elements, I used some vellum and added crystal effects ontop to given them dimension and shine.

Come join in the fun; we’d love to see what sketch inspired you. AAA Cards #268 – Sketch

Hello there, it’s time for another challenge over at AAA Cards and do we have a great sketch for you!

I sponged a series of different sized circles using my Altenew inks and then stamped one of the girls from the Visible Images set ‘hip hop girls’ and popped the panel up on an orange cardbase. Love how simple this was to make but effective with the different coloured circles.

Just Add Ink #707 – Just Add a Sketch

Hello there, it’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

I thought the cut away circle area would be a great spot to highlight a Christmas element. I used some old Christmas DSP, added a coloured elf from the MFT’s ‘Santa’s Elves’ stamp set with a sentinment from PTI’s ‘Rustic Wreath’ stamp set. The DSP was looking a bit flat, so I added some blue stars.

Sketch Saturday #753 Opt twist non-traditional holiday colours (any holiday)

Hello there, it’s time for another Sketch Saturday Challenge and do we have a great sketch for you!

I opted for a monocrome look for my card. I used a pre-made office tag, added some water coloured and fussy cut flowers in place of the sketch square, embossed my background panel with a dotty embossing folder, added some twine and a sentiment from Uniquely Creative and my card was done.
